MEMBER SUPPORT People who receive services for mental health and/or substance use disorders, sometimes known as “peers” or “consumers,” can help each other with recovery. Examples of peer support offered through MBHP include: Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA): DRA follows a 12-step program to support people in recovery from mental health and substance use disorders. Like other Anonymous meetings, DRA meetings involve sharing experiences and focusing on strengths, hope, and recovery. People who receive services for mental health and/or substance use disorders, sometimes known as “peers” or “consumers,” can help each other with recovery. Examples of peer support offered through MBHP include:

WELCOME TO THE PCC PLAN AND MBHP!

The Primary Care Clinician (PCC) Plan is one way to get your health care as a MassHealth Member. When you are enrolled in the PCC Plan, you have access to many services offered by the Massachusetts Behavioral Health Partnership (MBHP). MBHP works with the PCC Plan and our network of providers to give you high quality care for medical, mental health, and substance use disorders. This brochure is to help you learn about these services. We are excited to be your partner in helping you to live your healthiest life!

HOW MBHP CAN HELP YOU

You can call MBHP at 1-800-495-0086, or visit our website at www.masspartnership.com, for help with the following:

Finding mental health and substance use disorder services for you and your family: MBHP has a wide range of programs and services available to you. Our providers offer services throughout Massachusetts and are able to serve people from many ethnic and cultural backgrounds.

Paying for mental health or substance use disorder treatment: MBHP offers many covered mental health and substance use disorder services. MBHP will never bill for the services we provide.

Connecting you with peer support, training, or advocacy groups: If you want, MBHP will help you connect with others who have experiences like yours with mental health and/or substance use disorders so you can learn from and support each other.

Call the MBHP Member Engagement Center at1-800-495-0086 today! The Member Engagement Center is the best place to start to learn about everything MBHP has to offer you. The Member Engagement Center provides these services and more:

Welcome call: You will receive a welcome call after you have enrolled in the PCC Plan that explains how we can help you.

Listening to your health needs: By completing a Health Needs Assessment survey to provide answers about your health and health conditions, we will help you find services to keep you and your family in the best possible health.

SERVICES FOR PCC PLAN/MBHP MEMBERS

The following are just a few examples of services available to you as a PCC Plan/MBHP Member:

Integrated Care Management Program: We have a free program that helps you learn more ways to care for your health. Staff will work with you or your caregiver one-to-one to help you:

• Learn more about your health and health conditions• Get answers to questions between visits to the doctor• Understand and follow the treatment plan set by you

and your doctor• Choose the care that is best

Outpatient Services: You, or you and your family members, can meet with a professionally-trained therapist to learn how to better help yourself and/or one another with life problems that get in the way of your day-to-day activities.

Structured Outpatient Addiction Program (SOAP): SOAP helps Members avoid drugs or alcohol and maintain sobriety. SOAP includes one-to-one counseling, family counseling, group counseling, medical services, drug screening, and referrals to community-based and social support systems.

Enhanced Acute Treatment Services (E-ATS): E-ATS provides Members who have mental health and substance use disorders with 24-hour evaluation, care, and treatment, including detoxification and help with medications.

Program of Assertive Community Treatment (PACT): PACT provides Members who have serious, long-term mental illness with a clinical team who will provide ongoing mental health treatment, rehabilitation, and support.

EMERGENCY CARE

We have Emergency Services Programs to help, day or night, seven (7) days a week if you or a family member is having a mental health or substance use disorder crisis that is not immediately life-threatening. They can come to your home, a crisis center, a hospital, and other community locations.
