earning it: After yesterday’s moves, Astros manager AJ Hinch announced that IF J.D. Davis and OF Derek Fisher have made the Astros Opening Day roster...this will mark the first time on an Opening Day roster for both players...among qualifying players, Davis ranks third in the Grapefruit League both in OPS (1.081) and batting average (.364), and leads the Astros in homers (5) and hits (20)...Fisher has been strong of late, posting three consecutive multi-hit games (7x9, 3 doubles, 2 RBI), and has hit .292 overall this Spring.

altuve inked: On Monday, the Astros announced the signing of IF Jose Altuve to a seven-year contract that will keep the 2017 AL MVP in an Astros uniform through the 2024 season.
