14. The Hon. Member for Onchan (Mr Hall) to ask the Minister for Education andChildren –

(1) Whether the Department of Education and Children has (a) a SpecialEducational Needs Code of Practice and (b) a Special EducationalNeeds Policy;

(2) whether the Department of Education and Children operates aGraduated Response system and if so what documentation and policiesare in place in relation to such a system;

(3) what equivalent to a Parent Partnership the Department of Educationand Children operates to ensure that all parents of students withSpecial Educational Needs can obtain the information and advice theyneed; and

(4) In each year since the requirement(s) came into force -

(a) whether any multidisciplinary assessments under the Education(Special Educational Needs) Regulations 2004 have beenconducted and, if so, how many; and

(b) whether any reports under Section 19 of the 2001 Education Acton a child’s Special Educational Needs have been prepared asdetailed in Schedule 4 of the 2001 Education Act and theEducation (Special Educational Needs) Regulations 2004 and ifso, how many; and

(c) if none; why in the years since the Act and Regulations cameinto operation Section 19 and Schedule 4 of the 2001 EducationAct and the Education (Special Educational Needs) Regulations2004 have not been used?
