    One Mans Opinion

Part IWhat can I say? Falcons 1-4. Who woulda thunk it? Ill still bewatching and rooting for them as I move on to one of my former fa-

vorite teams the Cleveland Browns. Yes, I know that they dont have

much of a chance to do anything this year, but watching them does

keep me engaged. OK Falcons, take your time, get well and get ready

for next year, because even a Wild Card Berth seems out of reach so far this year.

Part III guess, Ill say it again, the NOpublicans only mission is to make Barack Obamas presidency a fail-

ure. No matter that he cant run again, no matter that they are making utter fools of themselves in the

eyes of the populace, no matter they are killing ANY chance of regaining the White House anytime inthe immediate future. Ive seen Haters take on this self destructive behavior before but never on such a

large scale. Usually, someone comes up with the voice of reason, but apparently not in this case. The

government is shut down because they cant defund a law thats already in place. Its sounds like,

Im gonna take my ball and go home, if you dont let me play. Get over it you lost, move on, fight

another day when the odds are in your favor. DO NOT make the entire country suffer because your

feelings are hurt. I can see it now, this shut down will drag on, the debt ceiling will be hit, layoffs will

ensue as businesses start to conserve cash, finally big business will force the NOpublicans to come to

some sort of reasonable compromise and things will quiet down publicly while the people, albeit the

silent majority will be seething underneath. It will all come to a head in 2016 when Hillary Clinton is

elected the next president and the Democrats take control of the House AND the Senate. After eight

    (8) years of Hillary..(You read it here first) Michelle Obama will be elected President of the United

States, yes I said it. Michelle Obama, See, while Hillary is President, Michelle will win a Senate seat

somewhere, probably back in Illinois and then run for president in 2024. Oh yeah, by then the

NOpublicans who will probably try to reinvent themselves by that time will STILL lose both Houses

    of Congress.

Having said all that, I realize my saying it is not going to change by one iota the nonsense thats going

on in Washington, but it feels better getting off my chest. I just hope this mass Hateration comes to an

end sometime soon before more permanent damage is done to the country.

    Just, One Mans Opinion.

2013 FORD HBCU COMMUNITY CHALLENGE TO GIVE AWAY $40,000 INSCHOLARSHIPS TO BLACK COLLEGE STUDENTS

    -- Deadline to Apply is November 10, 2013 --

Nationwide (BlackNews.com) -- Ford Motor Company is reaching out to students attendingHistorically Black Colleges and Universities for the 2013 Ford HBCU Community Challenge

Competition. Up to $75,000 in scholarships, university and community grants will beawarded for the first-place student team and its project. The new program, conducted in

partnership with the "Tom Joyner" and "Rickey Smiley Morning Shows," encourages HBCUstudents to design community projects that address pressing local needs.

The challenge is a request for proposals addressing the theme of "Building Sustainable

Communities." The Proposal should take an innovative, fresh approach in defining whatbuilding a sustainable community means to ones local community. The Proposal should notbe restricted specifically to environmental issues; rather, "sustainable community" refers to

all elements of a healthy, livable community which can thrive in a global economyencompassing a wide range of issues, including education, safety and mobility.

"We are thrilled to be able to continue in our efforts to support students attending HBCUswith the launch of this program," said Shawn Thompson, manager, Ford Multicultural

Marketing. "This program will allow students to make a difference in their education, schoolsand ultimately their communities."
