Taking its name from the town of Airlie inScotland, it didn't become Airlie Beach until1959 after locals pushed for the much morepopular name.Resting on the same latitude as Rio de Janeiro,Mauritius, Tahiti and New Caledonia, Airlie Beachbasks in a subtropical climate which means anaverage daily temperature of around 27C.
