HOSTEL ALLOTMENT POLICY FOR SENIORS : 2015-16 GENERAL HOSTEL ALLOTMENT FOR 2015-16 : GENERAL INFORMATION 1. The Hostel allotment process for senior students will start from 27 March, 2015. The link http://mithostel.manipal.edu/studlogin.aspx will be operative on the Front page of MU Website/ION Login page with effect from 27 March, 2015. The process of Hostel Allotment 2015-16 will involve the following steps:- Registration for allotment . Issue of Password Online Application Check individual Hostel Allotment Online Payment (mandatory). System generated receipt will be the Hostel Allotment letter. 2 nd stage of Online application for students who were registered but could not apply earlier. Check individual Allotment and pay online. System generated receipt will be the Hostel Allotment letter. Hostel Allotment of the Students who do not make the online payment before the stipulated date will be cancelled.

    HOSTEL ALLOTMENT FOR 2015-16 :

    GENERAL INFORMATION

    1. The Hostel allotment process for senior students will start from 27 March,

    2015. The process of Hostel Allotment 2015-16 will involve the following steps:-

    Registration for allotment .

    Issue of Password

    Online Application

    Check individual Hostel Allotment

    Online Payment (mandatory). System generated receipt will be the Hostel

    Allotment letter.

    2nd stage of Online application for students who were registered but could

    not apply earlier.

    Check individual Allotment and pay online. System generated receipt will

    be the Hostel Allotment letter.

    Hostel Allotment of the Students who do not make the online payment

    before the stipulated date will be cancelled.

    3. ONLY ONLINE APPLICATIONS will be accepted from eligible students

    (Batch 2012 to 2014). Students debarred on disciplinary grounds will not be

    permitted to apply.

    4. All 2nd and 3rd year students need to apply for hostel accommodation. For

    opting to move out of Hostels, students need to seek permission from their

    Parents in writing duly endorsed by respective HODs and forwarded by Associate

    Dir (SA) and Chief Warden for Directors sanction. The forms are available in the

    SA office ,MIT.

    5. With effect from 2015 -16 onwards, full details of Students Residence

    Addresses will be maintained by CW office for Hostelites and SA Office for Non

    Hostelites. NRI student details will be kept by the District police authorities.

    6. CRITERION FOR ALLOTMENT

    Discipline.

    CGPA > 7.5 for13 , 14 & 15 Block & SA in 10th Block .( Relaxation for NRIs

    1.0 in CGPA)

    CGPA 6.5 for 8, 9 Blocks. (Relaxation for NRIs 1.0 in CGPA)

    Balance Blocks will be in descending order of CGPA.

  • In case of joint application by 2 or 3 students, average of CGPA will be

    considered. In the case of 2014 batch, only the GPA of 1st semester will be

    considered

    MEDICAL CASES with KMC certification only (No Asthma cases will be

    considered for AC Accommodation). No other medical certificates will be

    considered. Submission of Medical certificates will be done latest by 01

    May 2015. NO certificate will be accepted after 01 may 2015.

    4. IMPORTANT LISTS :

    Debarred/ Review list will be uploaded 1st time in April 2015 &

    subsequently updated in May 2015.

    Hostels earmarked for seniors will be displayed in April 2015.

    5. IMPORTANT DATES & DATA :

    Issue of passwords - 11 -18 Apr 15

    Application by students - 19 -30Apr15

    Checking individual allotment and Online

    Payment .(In the link at MU Website) - 01 - 30 June15

    (Students who do not pay will be removed from the Allotment List)

    Second Stage of Online Application - 15 -- 30 June15

    (For students who could not apply earlier or whose names were removed

    from allotment due to non payment )

    Payment - 10 -- 25 July15

    EARLIEST DATE OF HOSTEL OCCUPATION PERMITTED -01st Aug. 2015

  • NOTE

    1. In the Hostel allotment details all details of the payment required will

    appear.

    After online payment, a system generated receipt can be printed and

    saved.

    The receipt will be the Hostel allotment letter and the student will be

    permitted entry to allotted hostel only on production of the downloaded

    receipt to the Caretaker.

    2. Students who have not applied on time , may apply after 04 July, 2015. Online

    application form will be available from 04 July to 15 July only.
