The Speakeasy is an impeccably recreated Prohibition Era saloon, sprawling over 9,000 sq ft. at an unmarked location along the North Beach / Chinatown border.

Guests are tempted to experience a night on the town as it was during the 1920s, as they circulate among The Speakeasy’s three main rooms: a period bar, a back-room casino, and a circular cabaret theatre.

The Speakeasy is more than an event venue. We are also a professional theatre company, producing the long-running immersive theatre hit, “The Speakeasy.”

Take full advantage of this unique pedigree by adding any of our many entertainment options top your event. It will be an evening your guests never forget!

Our vintage Vaudeville show features an Emcee in the mold of Eddie Cantor, a chanteuse, a chorus of dancing girls, an Abbott & Costello comedy duo, magicians, jugglers,

sword-swallowers, contortionists and a live 6-piece jazz orchestra.

Entertainment: The Cabaret

Professionally-trained dealers will teach your guests everything from the basics to advance strategy on our hand-made, throwback gaming tables.

Entertainment: The Casino

Options include:

•Our “Man In The Moon” photo booth, for souvenir photos to remember the occasion

• Piano duo or jazz trio providing background music in the bar

• DJ and dancing in the cabaret

• Silent films screening in the cabaret

• Walk-around actors, playing 1920s characters such as moonshiners and molls, interacting with your guests

Additional Entertainment

The bar features our enormously popular specialty cocktail menu, based on Prohibition Era classics, but remixed for the modern palette.

Top-shelf liquors include High West whiskeys, St George gins, and Veuve Cliquot champagne.

We work with a group of preferred caterers to provide hot and cold “heavy” appetizers, both buffet-style and passed. The venue is not configured for full sit-down dinners

Venue rental is priced by the hour and includes staffing, including bartenders, servers, coat check, managers, and security. It does not include food and beverage, or entertainment.
