Hosea 14:6,7

His young shoots will grow. His splendour will be like an olive tree, His fragrance like a cedar of Lebanon.

Men will dwell again in his shade. He will flourish like the grain.

He will blossom like a vine, and his fame will be like the wine from

Lebanon.

BlessingMy friends, this 2010 • God is going to richly bless us and also bless others

through us. • He’s going to make us prosperous in everything.

Is it really true?Yes indeed

• Every time when we get a promise for the year or month, we will think that it’s going to be a blessing. So, we pray to God for that blessing to be done in our life.

• But most of the time we don’t get the results we expected. So, we blame God

• But friends what we do is wrong because God clearly says in Hosea 14:1 = Return, O Israel, to the LORD your God.

Your sins have been your downfall!

Yes friends, because of our own fault, we don’t get our blessings properly.

What is sin?

• Sin can be anything, it can be a murder or even a little lie. Whatever bad thing you do, it still counts as a sin. There is no big sin or little sin. So my friends, be careful about what you say or what you do.

What to do?

• If we sin, we shouldn’t think it is the end of the world.

Jesus came to this world to open a solution for the sinners. The solution is repentance and forgiveness.

Does God really forgive sinners?

Yes my friends, • Many of us wonder if God really cares about sinners?• Today, believe me, God really loves sinners. Jesus came to this world only for the sinners and not

for the righteous. He really loves them because in Mathew 12;43-45 says, I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not

need to repent.

What is Repentance?

• Now that we have a guarantee that God seeks sinners, we can focus on how to change from a sinner to righteous people. The answer is repentance.

• Repentance means • Everyone knows about it but do you know that there

are actually two kinds of repentance;1. The one minute repentance2. Repentance with a mixture of humbleness

Page 9: Hosea 14:6,7 His young shoots will grow. His splendour will be like an olive tree, His fragrance like a cedar of Lebanon. Men will dwell again in his.

1. The 1 minute repentance

• After we commit a sin, we pray to God by saying “I actually never committed this sin before but I did it today. So sorry Lord”.

• My friends, we should never say this• If we say this, God takes away our sins but we cannot

hold this repentance for a long time. We soon fall into another sin.

• So, we should ask God with a little more politeness.

2. Repentance with a mixture of humbleness

• The best example is David. Psalm 51:1 = Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions. Even though David was a righteous man he still humbly asked god to forgive him.

• Also in Psalm 51:10 he asks God for a steadfast spirit. Likewise, when we ask God for repentance, we need to ask Him with humbleness and also we need to ask for strength.

What happens now?

• Now my friends, after God has forgiven our sins, he chooses us as his servants.

• God wants us to tell others about Repentance.

Will they listen?

• Yes my friends, they will listen • By seeing us as a good example, they will follow God

and realize that only by God we can receive the majestic blessings.

• Also they will receive the same blessings as us because God has promised to bless others through us [Men will dwell again in his shade].

Conclusion

So my friends, • We don’t have to worry about anything this year. • We just need to get the 100% guarantee that God

has forgiven us and then no matter what God will give us the blessing that he promised on Hosea 14:6,7.

So, my dear friends “Have a Prosperous & Blessed New Year!!!!
