So they took branches of palm trees and went out to meet him,
crying, “Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord,
even the King of Israel!” John 12:13
WELCOME!
“Hosanna in the highest! That Ancient Song we sing!
For Christ is our Redeemer, the Lord of Heaven, our King,
O may we ever praise Him with heart and life and voice,
And in His blissful presence eternally rejoice.”
On this day we call Palm Sunday, we welcome each one who
worships here with sincere heart. May your worship be
genuine and may He indeed be your King, too. We invite
everyone to join us after the morning worship service for
refreshments and a time of fellowship.
Children aged 3-5 meet your teachers in the Narthex during
the offering this morning for Children’s Church.
The cookies this morning are provided by Keith & Harriett
Sybesma in honor of their 40th Anniversary today. May they
have many more years of blessings together!
ABOUT OUR MESSAGES
On this Palm Sunday morning, we pause from looking at Old
Testament wisdom to consider the first act recorded by
Matthew after Jesus triumphantly enters into Jerusalem. Upon
arriving, the religious leaders of the temple are indignant not
only at Jesus actions, but especially at the praises of children
directed at him. Jesus has come as the true High Priest to
restore worship for us, His people!
PRAYERS AND PRAISES
Please keep Clarence & Hennie Van Essen and their family in
your prayers as Hennie’s sister Dottie’s husband, Jack Wiersma,
passed away in Michigan this past week.
Last Sunday morning, Joann Kuipers fell after morning
worship and broke two bones below her knee. She did not
need surgery, and was moved to swing bed later in the week.
Ask God to grant her patience and strength for the discomfort
and healing that is to come.
Continue bringing God prayers for Rev. Willie Gesch, a
former minister of our congregation, as he suffered an
apparent stroke this past week. Lift up his wife Kay and family
as he is cared for in Sioux Falls.
