All Sleeve Valances are made with 2 1/2 times fullness.
FullnessAll Sleeve Valances are made with 2 1/2 times fullness. The workroom will automatically add enough extra fullness to allow for (two) 4” returns on an outside mount. With 2 1/2 times fullness, this is ample for any return size.
Rod WidthWhen ordering a Sleeve Valance, simply specify the rod width.
If a rod is ordered, the workroom will automatically include the appropriate rod width for the size valance that isordered. The rod sizes are: 18” - 28” 28” - 48” 48” - 84” 66” - 120” 84” - 156” 156” - 200” (three sections)
Rod Pocket SizesRod pockets are made a full inch bigger than the rod size for easy installation.

Throw Swags are available in all of Horizons™ Soft Treatments fabrics.
The W3 Throw Swag beautifully complements any Horizons™ Shade.
Pattern Orientation WarningWhen considering a patterned fabric for a Throw Swag Valance, make sure the orientation of the pattern is not so distinct that when draped the pattern will appear upright, sideways, and upside down (as shown below).

TapersAs a standard, the fabric of the W3 Throw Swag is cut in a trapezoid with 6” tapers. This will result in slightly more dramatic and angular tapers.
As an option, the fabric of the W3 Throw Swag can be cut as a rectangle. A gentle taper forms when the Swag is installed.
Important Note: The final size and shape of the tapers is also influenced by the number of swoops, the weight of the material, and especially the work of the installer. Your results may vary from the photos shown above.
Fan FoldingThe W3 Throw Swag automatically comesfan-folded in approximate 4” folds.
Lining OptionsThe Throw Swag Valance comes standard self-lined, but other lining options are white/ivory or contrasting lining.

Throw Swag ValanceThrow Swag ValanceA Throw Swag Valance is a less formal version of a traditional swag. It comes as a fan-folded rectangle or trapezoid piece of material. It can be installed over a decorative drapery rod or on swag holders. While draping the fabric, the installer gives the free form Throw Swag its body and shape.
How To OrderSimply specify the width and height. The workroom will allow an extra 2” per pole wrap and 10” per swoop in the final flat size.

TAPERS: As a standard, the fabric of the W3 Throw Swag is cut in a trapezoid with 6” tapers. This will give you slightly more dramatic and angular tapers. As an option, the fabric of the W3 Throw Swag can be cut as a rectangle. A gentle taper forms when the Swag is installed. See illustrations on page F7. FOLDING: Swags automatically are packaged in approximate 4” folds. ALLOWANCES: When ordering a swag, simply specify the width and height. The workroom will allow an extra 2” per pole wrap and 10” per swoop in the finished flat size.

Measuring:Outside MountMeasure the width of the trim (or window opening if no trim) and add 3 inches.
Inside MountMeasure the exact window opening at the top. The standard bracket can be used for inside mount. Minimum depth (in front of any inside mounted treatment) is 1 inch. Flush mount depth (in front of any Inside Mounted treatment) is 3 inches.
Care Instructions:Steaming the TreatmentLike every fabric treatment, a brand new Horizons™ fabric valance right out of the box may have wrinkles.
Many of the wrinkles will simply hang out after a few days. However, for best results, we recommend steaming your fabric valance once it is installed.
Note: Use caution when steaming fabrics made from silk.
