This year we have lots of new initiatives in progress, and are actively working towards planning and developing the next stages of the College site and strategy. As a governing team, they provide wise leadership for me. We are working closely to ensure strong alignment between Government and Management of the College. The board is currently comprised of Jeremy Kuipers (Chair), Lynton Joyce (Deputy Chair), Ian Miller (Treasurer), Robert Hosking and Andrew Velez. To be eligible for Board membership, you first need to be a member of the MNCC Association – the body that owns the College. If you are interested to know more, please enquire at the front office.

Flying through the Air
Lachlan Tucker-Powditch in Year 10 is having an exciting fortnight. He has commenced his first year in the
aviation course, which includes a 1 hour plane flight. On Saturday he is off to pursue his other passion, motorcycle
speed trials run by Dry Lake Races Australia. This is an annual event held on Lake Gairdner, which is in the north
of South Australia.
Lachlan has been attending the races since he was 2, as it has been a family
passion. His grandfather Grant Schlein, and parents Paul and Rebeka all race
so it is in the blood. He started racing when he was 12 and has been breaking
records ever since.
Last year he broke the record in the production motorbikes for his class and
went 151km/h. This year he will be going for the record in the fuel-injected
class. He is currently racing a Cagiva Mito 125 and is looking to move up to a
Suzuki GSXR600 next year. He featured in some motorbike magazines last
year because of his extraordinary achievements. Mr Moreton
