    BANDSOur International Band

HONK!TX is pleased to announce Pakava It’ as our special international guest for HONK!TX 2016. Hailing all the way from Moscow, Russia, Pakava It’ will perform as a 9-piece band, bringing to Austin what they call the “mad rhythm and dissonances of the Russian capital, where the socialist past and the bourgeois future combine.” Mad rhythm, indeed. You can find pieces of jazz and classical music here, contemporary, avant-garde, African and Latin-American dance music, club music, traditional world music—and they are just as comfortable playing in street theater projects and carnival processions as they are concert performances. Their lively and infectious grooves will keep you dancing ‘til the last note is played. Don’t miss the party that is Pakava It’!
