Step 1: Print the Template

The first thing you'll need to do is print the images from the zip file onto a sheet of card stock paper. Print the frontof the box on one side, flip the paper over, put it back in the printer, and print the star pattern on the other side.

Step 2: Cut the Template Out

Next, cut out the template. Follow the lines as closely as you can, making sure to not leave any white around theedges. There are small tabs that you can safely cut off. Refer to the images above.

Step 3: Fold and Crease

Now you'll want to fold the flaps and make creases in the bottom side of the box. You will basically want to foldand crease the box everywhere you see the borders with the small circle patterns. Refer to the images forreference.

Step 4: Apply Double Sided Tape

Apply strips of double sided tape around the inside of the box as shown in the images above. You'll want to addsmall pieces of tape to the little triangle folds in the corners of the box as well, and a couple of thin strips to the topof the box.

Step 5: Fold Again

Fold in the small triangular corners and crease them. You will want to push them against the edges of thedouble sided tape you applied to the inside of the boxand then pinch them so that the smaller pieces oftape you applied to the corners hold them closed(See the first and second image above).

Once that's done, fold the flaps down on all four sidesof the box and pinch them against the strips of double

sided tape.

Now pull the edge of the top of the box, where youapplied tape, under the other side. Line up the word"Frog" and line up the circle pattern at the bottom, then pinch along the overlap to get the tape to stick.

Once you have finished this, close the box.

Step 6: You're Finished!

You're all done!

This was kind of difficult to explain with all the folding, creasing, and taping. I Hope the images help!

Can you upload the files please?

Made 100 of these as wedding favors. Everyone LOVED them!

I need to make 50. How long did it take you?

This is amazing! Wow, that must have taken a long time to make. I only made 12 for a small partyand that was so time consuming! Very impressive!

hi, this is amazing! I was just wondering if we could use a glue stick instead of double sided tape?

Yes, you can use a glue stick if you prefer. I tried it that way and it was a little more messy, but itworked. I had to keep wiping off my fingers and parts of the box.

Thank you very much, these, and your cards as well, are absolutely beautiful! You also give themout for free, like whaaaat? :-) Thanks

Hey, These are so great! Would you do cards for Harry, Hermione, and Ron? My kids would reallylove those.

I made this too and they look so so so awesome! I'll post some pictures soon. I found that the lidwasn't very tight for my first few. What I ended up doing was only folding the two lid tabs on thesides and leaving the others unbent. I found that this provided just enough friction to keep the lidclosed on its own. I'm also using a heavy card stock.

Hi, I'm on my third trial box and no matter what I do I can't get the top to fit the bottom of the box. Idid see your comment about the dots bordering the top and bottom of the sides but no matter how Ifold it, it makes no difference. Any suggestions? I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.

Sorry to hear you're having trouble. From your photo, it looks like the corners of the box are a bitloose. Try folding them in tighter so the sides of the box aren't 100% vertical. They should be at avery slight inward angle. Does this make sense?

I'll give it a whirl. I'm determined to make this work. Thanks for the reply!

This is so great! Thank you for sharing and putting in all of that hard work! It will definitely be greatfor my daughter's Harry Potter birthday party!

Wonderful! Thanks! Glad you like it!

I made it and it is AWESOME

Amazing! I made it and it turned out awesome

Heewy,

It can be that my question is already answered and I didn't see it, but on what size of paper is thetemplate printed? A3 or A4?

I printed it on 8.5 x 11 inch card stock, but it should print fine on A4 as well.

The template for the box is gorgeous! One of my favorites of the many I've seen. My only qualm(and it may most likely be operator error) is the dimensions of the box didn't quite match up with thelid once folded and taped. Is this an issue you ran into while folding?

Thanks! Actually, I did have that problem the first few boxes I made and then I realized I was folding it slightly wrong. The borders with the little circles on it should line the top and bottom of the sides of the box when you're finished, if that makes sense.

Hi! What do you mean by 'heavy' cardstock? My country doesn't have cardstock so I'll have to findregular paper that weighs the right amount. Do you think 180 grams (0,4 pounds) will work? Lovedthis Instructable!

I'm not sure, but I think that weight would work. To be safe, you could order some heavy card stockonline.

cool!

Thank you for this! My son loves Harry Pottermovies and will definitely love this - I just need to make a chocolate frog toput inside the box :)

I'm glad this will contribute to something fun with your son!

bravo!

Thank you!

This is so cool! I need to print and make a few. Excellent work, than you for sharing this.
