• Confucianism is the philosophy started by Confucius.

• A philosophy is someone's basic beliefs about the way people should live.

• According to Confucianism, people must respect each other and follow a code of conduct.

• Respect must be shown to family members and between government officials and people.

respect their elders. This is called Filial Piety.
