For those fans unable to make the game in person Saturday night, Labelles in Powers provided a great opportunity for them to watch the game and share the fun and excitement. Over 100 people from the area congregated to root for the Jets. Herman Kleiman, proud grandfather of Bobby Kleiman and father to Coach Scott Kleiman said, “I’m really proud of Bobby- he’s doing a great job!” Herman was confident that they would be victorious even when they were behind. Herman also expressed amazement at the number of people that came out to watch the game. Diana and Jim Moraska who have two grandsons on the team, Dawson Bilski and Tanner Poupore said “I don’t care win or lose these kids are already winners. They are a bunch of excellent & phenomenal kids. No one tries to steal the glory and that’s what makes them all stars both on and off the field.” said Grandpa Jim. Grandma Di chimed in, “This team is awesome because they are all such great kids!” They also noted that they are academically wise and all teammates are great sportsmen. Darla Kleiman, mother of Bobby Kleiman was also there. She admitted to being really nervous at first but at half time she was relaxed and proud of her boy and the rest of the North Central Jets team. A little secret about Bobby is that at home he is sometimes called the gingerbread man because of his catch me if you can ability when it comes to running. Darla also spoke about how all the teammates have genuine care and concern for each other. They are completely vested in each other, able to anticipate each other’s movements and have a real love for one another. Darla feels that’s what makes them such a great team. Darlene and Coco Gagne, maternal grandparents of Bobby Kleiman were celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary. They felt that a state championship was probably the best anniversary gift possible.
