Message from the President
Well, we made it through another summer! And boy, was it a good one!
The weather was very kind to us all season long - just ask all those
involved in the weekly Wednesday night cruise-in at the Bremerton Airport.
There were many tables worth of prizes, theme costumes from the 50s, 60s,
and 70s, and of course a LOT of cars last week for the final cruise-in of the
season. Thank you, Larry G and Barb L for all the hard work you put into
making this a HUGELY successful event. For those on social media, check out
the Canalside Photography and Port of Bremerton Wednesday Cruise In
pages on Facebook.
Seven GOCC Corvettes showed up for the North Mason High School
Homecoming at the end of September. Thank you Dave V.A., Barb L, Char-
lene C, Vern C, Frank M, Cindy, C and Fred C for helping! There will be an-
other Homecoming evening in North Kitsap in October.
I am working on a getting a special event for the club on the calendar
before the end of October. Keep your eyes open!
If you plan on attending the NWACC Annual
Award Banquet next month, please fill out and submit a
registration form. It is linked below in Upcoming Events
or you can find it on the NWAAC website.
Barb L has booked the Airport Diner for our
Thanksgiving Party on November 17th. Please RSVP with
her before Nov 1st so she can submit a head count for
meal planning. You don’t want to miss this event! Respectfully, Elisha Pile - GOCC President (2018)

Go On, Surprise Us Each month, scattered throughout the pages of our newsletter, are articles meant for your input, offering an invitation to you, dear reader, to be-come an active participant in this magazine. There are any number of ways to get your car, your thoughts, or both onto these pages. In the interest of making it as easy as possible for you to join in the fun, here is a helpful list of all the ways you can participate. Readers’ Replies: We’re always interested in your thoughts about the Newsletter: Email the editor, listed on page 1.
Corvette of The Month: This is where we invite you to share your passion for your car with your fellow enthusiasts. Simply provide one or two high-resolution photos of your car (or collection of cars), and a little background from you on the experience of owning the car—how long you’ve had it, where you found it, what you’ve done to it and what you love about it. Alternately, the Newsletter Editor can interview you and write the article. Trip or Event: Do you have a great story about a trip or event you participated in, it might be a good candidate for a one-page feature. Tech Talk: If you’ discovered some wisdom about operating or maintaining Corvettes, this is the place to share. Vette-Trivia: Have a little-known fact about Cor-vettes? Send it in to the Editor. Maybe we’ll print it! For Sale: Got something you want to sell? Let us know. Hidden Number: Yes, there IS a hidden number in this month’s newsletter and if it’s YOUR mem-bership number, let the V.P. know you found it and you’ll get first pick at the raffle table!
Vets ‘n Vettes presented by Mobil 1
Nov 8-10, 2018 In 2008 we began a tradition of honoring our veterans
with a new event, Vets ‘n Vettes. Thursday kicks off with
a full day at the NCM Motorsports Park. Invites will be
going out to all our local Veterans in hopes they come to
the MSP and catch a ride in a Corvette with another fel-
low Veteran. Complimentary lunch served to all! With a
Meet n’ Greet, road tours, and participation in the Bowl-
ing Green Veterans’ Day Parade with lunch afterwards at
the local VFW, the event offers veterans, servicemen and
women and those who want to support them, a comfort-
able place to meet and share stories and experiences
General registration for Vets ‘n Vettes is only $20
Online registration closes at 8:00am central time on
Tuesday, October 23. There are no refunds for activities
after online registration closes. All activities are open to
Event Registrants only. On-line registrants will receive a
