*SELF-REPORTED ACADEMIC RECORD (SRAR) All freshman applicants must complete a SRAR with a few exceptions. Created online using the high school transcript, the SRAR is a self-reported student academic record that lists all courses, grades, GPA, class rank if available on the transcript, and graduation plan. The SRAR cannot be submitted prior to the application but you can and should work on it as soon as possible. See admissions website for exceptions.

AUTOMATIC ADMISSION Two ways to qualify:
TOP 10%Requirements: • attend a public or private high school in Texas, and• rank in the top 10% of your graduating class on or
before the application deadline, and• satisfy the State of Texas Uniform Admission Policy
(admissions.tamu.edu/uap), and• complete the Foundation plan with the
Distinguished Level of Achievement.
New this year is the requirement to provide the Self-Reported Academic Record (SRAR). Texas residents reporting a top ten percent ranking must also provide verification of ranking by submitting an official high school transcript with a relative numeric ranking via TREx or the upload feature in our Applicant Information System (AIS).

ENGINEERING REVIEWAll applications to the College of Engineering will be holistically reviewed for admission into General Engineering, including students who qualify for automatic admission.
Applicants to the College of Engineering will be asked to answer an engineering specific short answer question as part of their application.
The early action deadline for the College of Engineering is October 15.
ACADEMIC ADMITS*Requirements: • rank in the top quarter of your graduating class on
or before the application deadline; and • achieve SAT or ACT score minimums
(Texas A&M does not superscore) • SAT: Total score of 1360 or better with a minimum
620 Math and 660 Evidence-Based Reading and Writing (EBRW) ACT: Composite score of 30 or better with a minimum 27 Math and 27 English
• meet the State of Texas Uniform Admission Policy (admissions.tamu.edu/uap).
*Beginning with applicants for Fall 2021, academic admission will no longer be available.
