A Message from Mrs Sauer

It is hard to believe that our break time is near Staff and students have been busy preparing for December with Fes-tive Spirit Days Carol Sings and our Parent Teacher Council has been planning for our annual Pancake Day Pictures with Santa and Poinsettia Pick-up just to name a few During the month of November we shared a heartfelt Remembrance Day Ceremony by the Fort Erie Royal Legion Junior and Intermediate Volleyball Seasons Bully Prevention Week and an amazing Colour House Day led by our Grade 8 leaders As Polar Bears we all shine brighter together In the Foyer we have laid out our Lost and Found items and Mr Badger is collecting canned goods for our family Christmas baskets Come check it out and make a donation Thank you and as a staff we wish you a very restful and relaxing holiday Mrs Sauer amp Mrs Libera

Exciting things are happening at Peace Bridge Public School Our Grade 8 used book sale was a success We made $176 that will go towards the Grade 8 year end school tripndash stay tuned to hear about the destination Poinsettiarsquos will be delivered on December 4th Pickup times are TBD Pancakes will be served to the students at both nutrition breaks on December 18th We will be asking for donations of pancake mix (add water only) paper plates and forks as well as volunteers to help cook Pancakes will be served to the Kinder-Grade 3 students at first nutrition break and to Grade 4-8 at second nutrition break Please follow us on Facebook Peace Bridge Parent ParentTeacher Association


Polar Bear Families Peace Bridge needs Bingo Volunteers This is a very easy way to make money for our school This money can be used for educational trips sports clubs yearbooks plus so much more Last year we received $22000 for our school This year with the lack of volunteers to work these bingos our budget is half of that What does this mean It means that some of the things that we have done in the past wonrsquot happen anymore For example Scientists in the school Pottery busing for trips sports equipment and yearbooks are just some examples All of this was previously offered at no cost Please consider volunteering for Bingo There is a 2-hour training session that usually takes place twice a month Our bingo hall is Uncle Samrsquos beside the Little Ceaserrsquos Pizza The times and days vary Two volunteers are needed for each two-hour shift What is required of you is minimalndash greeting the customers opening the doors for them as they arrive wiping tables and straightening up the chairs in-between Bingo sessions If you are interested in becoming a volunteer please email awharkins8gmailcom or contact the school As always Thank you Polar Bear families for your continued support

Poinsettia Fundraiser Poinsettia fundraiser delivery is Wed Dec 4th in the afternoon If yoursquove ordered Poinsettiarsquos please remember to pick them up in our gym at this time Thanks to parent council for helping out with this fundraiser to raise money for our end of the year grade 8 trip

Food Drive

Me to We club (with the help of Mr Badger) is collecting non-perishable food items for families in our own Fort Erie community Please bring in non-perishable food items such as soup pasta noodles canned beans and Kraft dinner The collection boxes are in the front foyer of the school Thanks for your support

Hotdog Day in January

In January we will be having a hot dog lunch We will be asking for donations for ketchup mustard and relish They will be sold for $125 each We are also looking for volunteers to cook

With School Cash Online you will be able to approve permission forms and make payments for items online Understanding that wersquore quickly becoming a cashless society we know it can sometimes be a challenge to find exact change for items and then send it to school through your childrsquos backpack Using School Cash Online yoursquoll be able to use your debit credit card or cheque to make quick and easy payments online It will also allow you to track payments made and receive an invoice for your purchases School Cash Online is a safe reliable portal that will ensure the security of your information The system is already active You are able to gain access through the School Cash button which has been placed on our school website We are ask-ing that you click on the button and follow the simple in-structions to register Registration should take less than five minutes If you registered last year you do not need to register again
