Coverage for CareMedicare, Medicaid and many private insurance companies cover hospice-related services.

Hospice CareHospice emphasizes quality of life by focusing on what is important for each patient. Patients, families, caregivers and hospice professionals participate in care designed to best meet individual patient needs.

Our team works along side each patient's physician to coordinate the best approach for pain and symptom management. We also make home visits and are available 24/7.

We work directly with the medical community, families and caregivers to ensure that every hospice patient is treated with dignity and respect. Mindful of our patients' special needs, our chaplain provides a uniquely dignified spiritual presence for all our patients.

When is Hospice Appropriate?Hospice is for many diagnoses (e.g., Alzheimer's, cancer, COPD, heart-disease) and is elected when, according to Medicare eligibility, there is an advanced life-limiting illness and any of the following: k pain and other forms of suffering k a choice to focus on comfortcare and quality of life k the family needs trained help and support to manage end-of-life care in conjunction with their physician's care

Related Servicesk Medications, Medical Supplies and Equipment to manage symptoms and promote comfort

k In-Patient and Respite Care to address specialized needs as they arise
