From our world class coaching and arena facilities, to our comprehensive player safety and professional development initiatives and our fully guaranteed player education and scholarship program, the WHL is a leader in every category.

As we celebrate our 50th season, we not only salute our founders – Scotty Munro, Bill Hunter, Del Wilson and Jim Piggott – but also our owners and community leaders who, together with long-time WHL President Ed Chynoweth, have been instrumental in the establishment and growth of our League. We also want to pay tribute to the players, coaches, man-agers and staff, along with the officials, who over the past 50 years have made this League what it is today. Saturday, March 12, 2016 | Toyota Center | RADIO: Fox Sports 1380 AM | TIPS Mobile TONIGHT’S MATCHUP With 5 games left in the regular season, the Silvertips continue their road swing with the eighth and final meeting of the regular season with the Tri-City Americans in Kennewick, Wash. The Silvertips are 3-4-0-0 in the series and currently stand four points out of first place in the U.S. Division, held by the Seattle Thunderbirds. Matt Fonteyne leads the Silvertips with seven points in seven head-to-head matchups and Tri-City is led by Parker Bowles, carrying seven points in the series against the Silvertips. The Silvertips have clinched a playoff berth while Tri-City is six points out of the final wild card spot. PLAYOFF SCENARIO The Silvertips have clinched a playoff berth with 81 points with 67 games played. If the playoffs began today, they would face the Portland Winterhawks in the opening round.

Carter Hart earned third star of the game with 24 saves, providing air-tight play for the final 53:19. EVT 3 – POR 2 (3-8-16): Carson Stadnyk reached the 20-goal plateau and Carter Hart made 23 saves, moving to within two wins of a club record in a 3-2 victory for the Everett Silvertips over the Portland Winterhawks, before 3,688 fans at XFINITY Arena on Tuesday night. Stadnyk reached the 20-goal mark for the third straight season, capping a run of three unanswered goals by the Silvertips out of gate. Hart earned his 35th win, second on the Silvertips single season list, two behind Leland Irving’s all-time mark of 37 (2005-06). TC 5 – EVT 3 (3-5-16): Backup Nicholas Sanders earned 36 saves and the Tri-City Americans rallied for three unanswered goals to sneak by the Everett Silvertips, 5-3 before a crowd of 5,901 at XFINITY Arena in WHL action on Saturday night. Matt Fonteyne, logging points in six of the last eight games, registered a pair of goals which helped spark a Tips rally from a 2-0 deficit in the second period. All four of the Silvertips’ division titles have been achieved with Constantine as head coach, most recently last season which was Everett’s first since 2006-07. He was the recipient of the Dunc McCallum Trophy (WHL Coach of the Year) in 2003-04, when the Silvertips broke nearly every WHL expansion record and became the first expansion team in WHL history to win a division title. Constantine has coached in the NHL over the course of seven seasons with San Jose, Pittsburgh and New Jersey, helping guide all three clubs to an appearance in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
