PARISH EVENTS IN OUR PARISH & ELSEWHERE

Guest priest Fr. Bernard is going on vacation on June 3rd-10th. Fr. Joy Thachil will celebrate the Masses on the weekend of June 8th-9th. He will do a mission appeal for Pallottine Fathers and Brothers of Zambia. There will be a second collection for this purpose on that weekend. There will not be week-day Masses during this time. There will not be Holy Hour on Saturday, June 8th. Please welcome Fr. Joy to our par-ish and thank him for his ministry. The Solemnity of Ascension This feast is originally on the Thursday after the Sixth Sunday of Easter, which is May 30th. In the Diocese of Austin and many others in the United States, it is cele-brated on the Seventh Sunday of Easter. Graduation Our parish is celebrating with the graduates, high school and other degrees, at the Mass this Sunday, June 2nd. All graduates are invited to be in the procession at the begin-ning of the Mass in gown (no cap). There will be a bless-ing for the graduates at the end of the Mass. Please con-gratulate and pray for them that they may enter a new chapter of life with Jesus as their best friend and mentor. Altar Society Meeting St. Mary’s Altar Society will meet Sunday, June 2nd, in the day chapel after the 10:00 am Mass. This will be our last meeting as we will adjourn for the summer months. All ladies of the parish are invited to attend. Knights of Columbus BBQ The Caldwell Knights of Columbus will be selling BBQ chicken plates, to go only, on Sunday, June 2nd, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the KC kitchen. Cost is $10.00 per plate. Includes one half BBQ chicken, twice baked potatoes, green beans, pickle and onions. Women’s Club Meeting Women’s Club meeting will be held this Sunday, June 2nd in the parish hall immediately following the Senior Brunch. We will be taking our summer break after this meeting and will resume meetings again in Septem-ber. All women of the parish are welcome to join us. KC Meeting Caldwell Knights of Columbus Council 6366 will have their monthly meeting, Thursday, June 6th at 7:00 pm in the Parish Hall.

Parish Festival Meeting St. Mary's parish festival is on October 20th, 2019 to raise fund for our building projects. There will be a meeting to prepare for the festival on Wednesday, June 12th at 6:30 pm in the PAC. Representatives from the Knights of Co-lumbus, Women's Club, CYM, Our Lady of Guadalupe group, Altar Society are invited to attend this meeting. Thank you for your participation. Please order soon from Frances---Not from the webstore. Feast of St. Anthony of Padua Come and join us for the celebration of the Feast of St. Anthony at St. Anthony Church, 308 S. Parker Ave., Bry-an, TX 77803 on June 13, 2019 at 11:00 am and enjoy the blessings of the Lord through the intercession of St. An-thony. There will be a Candle Light Procession with the First-Class Relic of St. Anthony of Padua and the Statue of St. Anthony (half a mile distance) covering all the facilities of St. Anthony Church. A new life-size statue of St. An-thony will be blessed during the procession at the corner of 28th Street and Sims Avenue, replacing the existing one. There will be a light meal served at Msgr. Malinowski Center at the end of the celebrations on June 13th. Those who plan to join the meal please RSVP to the St. Anthony parish office at 979-823-8145 by June 7, 2019. St. Thomas Aquinas Garage Sale St. Thomas Aquinas will have a garage sale the weekend of June 14th and 15th. Friday, June 14th, 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm is the Sneak Peak Pre-Sale, $5 entry fee and all prices will be doubled. Saturday, June 15th is sale day from 7:00 am - 12:00 pm, free admission. They will be accepting donations June 3rd - 10th, however, they cannot accept books, box tv’s, printers, computers, picture frames, car seats or golf clubs. Blood Drive There will be a blood drive at the VFW on Monday, July 1st from 11:30 am - 5:30 pm. Encountering Christ Campaign Our parish’s Encountering Christ cam-paign is ongoing, and your participation is still needed! Please continue to sup-port our effort with regular payments on your pledge commitment. To date, we have received $419,620 in gifts and pledges and payments totaling $143,631.52 Our parish receives 30 percent of the amount we collect to-ward our parish goal, and 70 percent over goal, which we will use for the construction of the lobby at the en-trance of the church.
