Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffinsfrom the kitchen of Michelle Dunn

Ingredients:1 1/3 c. sugar 1/3 c. shortening2 eggs 1 2/3 c. flour 1 c. pumpkin (canned if you have to, but the real stuff is even better)¼ t. baking powder 1 t. baking soda¼ t. clove ½ t. cinnamon¾ t. salt ½ c. chopped pecans/raisins ¾ c. chocolate chips1/3 c. water (only if needed, depending on how runny the pumpkin stuff is)Directions: Mix all together. Pour in muffin tins or bread pan. Bake 350 degrees until done. The best way to do it is make mini-muffins and use the miniature choco-late chips. If you serve them when they’re warm, you get a little mouthful of melty chocolate in every bite.
