Other Liturgy Notes—

Instructions about the Mass and going forward for

Eucharist or a Blessing will be done either by

announcement or individual instructions before Mass .

Singing is a high-risk activity so we will not have this

except for special music as can be done safely. There

is to be no congregational singing at Holy Trinity at

this time. If this changes, there will be advance

notification. The protocol is that everyone must wear

a mask if there is congregational singing.

Proclaimers of the Word—First Reading, Psalm,

Second Reading and intercessory prayers are all

proclaimed by the same person, from a microphone at

a second ambo (lectern) at the front. Microphones are

changed between users and sit for 72 hours before

being used by another person. The ambo and mike

by the altar are to be used only by the priest.

Eucharist—hosts will be consecrated on a table and

parishioners will come forward, one household group

at a time. Stand behind the black tape line; Father will

say “The Body of Christ”; respond ‘Amen’, then step

forward and pick up the host closest to you; take a

step or two away before consuming. Return to your

place the same way you came up (for 1 or 2 people); if

there are 3 or more, ushers will direct you to circle

around to return, to avoid congestion at the front.

A Blessing is available for those unable to receive the

Eucharist. Come forward as if you were receiving

communion, but cross your arms over your chest to

indicate you wish a blessing. The priest will give you

a verbal blessing.

Holy Trinity open for Masses for

approximately 60—Masks now mandatory by

public health order for indoor spaces in Saskatchewan.

Government of Saskatchewan guidelines for Places of

Worship are permitting more people in churches that can

accommodate them by following the needed protocols for

distancing and cleaning.

At Holy Trinity, after blocking off pews to have six foot

distancing, we have seating for approximately 60 people,

dependent on whether they come as couples, singles or

families. Photos on our website home page will give you

an idea of our setup.

This number includes our helpers on chairs in the Gather-

ing Area. We have now measured our entrance and

Gathering Areas for 6 foot distancing while waiting to be

checked in and seated.

Requests for weekend Mass Attendance (Sat 5 pm,

Sun. 10 am) are being handled via email by Cynthia Mack

at [email protected]. Parishioners may

request up to 2 weekend Masses (indicate day/date).

Bookings for weekend Masses will be confirmed by

Thursday noon; reminder emails will be sent out Friday for

the coming weekend. Parishioners who do not have email

may call the church office at 306-543-3838. Last minute

requests must be received by 2 pm Friday

Weekday Mass Attendance - weekday Masses are

generally Monday to Friday at 8:30 am. You do not need

to register in advance. Come to the north door; we will

record your name and phone number and ask the health

assessment questions.

Church Open for Prayer—We will continue to have the

church open for prayer from 9 am to 2 pm, Monday to

Friday, unless otherwise published in the bulletin.

Church Pews—at Holy Trinity are marked to for the

2 metre guidelines of social distancing. Our upholstered

pews cannot be sanitized. If you wish to bring your own

seat cushion or towel, please do so. The wooden pews

on the south side of the church do not have upholstery. If

you prefer to sit there, check with the person directing this.

Seating for Mass will be done from front to back. For

exiting after Mass, it will be reversed, from back to front.

These directions will be announced at the Mass.

Promptness—to ensure we can monitor who is

attending, the doors will be locked at the start of Mass.

This also allows us to provide the proper number of hosts

needed for that Mass.

Collection—a donation box is inside the glass doors for

your envelope, before or after Mass.

Self-assessment Questions You will be asked the

following when you book a weekend Mass, as well as

when you arrive at Holy Trinity for any Mass:

Do you have COVID-19 or live with someone with

COVID-19?

Have you been exposed to someone with

COVID-19?

Are you sick, including even one of the slightest symptoms or feelings of sickness, especially upper respiratory or flu-like symptoms such as fever, cough, headache, aches & pains, sore throat, chills, runny nose, loss of sense of taste or smell or shortness of breath or difficulty breathing?

Have you travelled outside of Regina in the past

two weeks?

The upholstery at Holy Trinity is not able to be sanitized.

Pews on the south side of the church do not have upholstery and

you may request to sit there, providing they are available with

proper distancing.

BulletinNovember 22, 2020 Solemnity of Our Lord

Jesus Christ, King of the Universe

Page One

Today we celebrate the feast of Christ the King. As the King of Kings, Jesus shows us what true greatness is. It is loving and serving one another, giving ourselves in love for one another, and using the gifts God has given us to glorify Him.In today’s gospel, Jesus tells us what loving and serving one another looks like. It’s in feeding the hungry, giving drink to the thirsty, welcoming the stranger, clothing the naked, caring for the sick, visiting the prisoner. No one among God’s people should be disrespected, discarded, demeaned or exploited because of their limitations and failures. The least and last should be especially treasured. All of our individual gifts and talents are meant to be shared for the benefit of everyone. We Christians are expected to be living witnesses to the way Jesus loves and serves. Let us make a stronger commitment to respond with care and compassion to those around us and work for a more just world.Thank you very much for contributing to the Archbishop’s Appeal. God who owns everything needs our generosity to make it possible for the pastoral ministries to work for the growth of the Kingdom in the Archdiocese of Regina. [Source:

Most of us are generous when it’s convenient for us. We are generous when we have the time or the money. But, generosity is the opposite of that. It means giving of one’s time, money, compassion, forgiveness or mercy when it’s not convenient; when it’s not on our schedule, but on the other person’s schedule.
