Health Ministry: It's Spring! Want a Clean Home? Don't Do These Things! A clean home can be hard to achieve when you have kids, pets and a messy spouse! Small ‘don't steps’ are the answer. * Don't decorate every little nook… less dust, less clutter, less stress. * Don't save papers that aren't of value. * Don't leave things sit too long (more than a few days) before putting them away. * Don't have too many pillows. They’re great for color, but who needs all 26 on furniture to straighten or to pick up off the floor! * Don't store things on a floor. Collects more dirt, hard to clean around, and dust bunnies love it. If possible, have a place for every- thing (clothes, shoes, toys). * Don't clean all at once. Tidy up as you go from room to room and straighten up a bit before going to bed. Think about all your excess stuff when aiming for a clean home. Give that excess stuff to those in need, for someday you will leave it all behind anyway. Simplemost

RCIA Rite of Scrutinies use Cycle A Readings while we are currently in Cycle B; therefore the readings for 10:30 AM Mass are different.
Introductions to Readings by Bishop Ken Untener, in collaboration with Catherine Haven and Fr. Bill Taylor 4:30 PM and 9:00 AM Masses First Reading - Jeremiah 31:31-34 The prophet Jeremiah ministered at a difficult time in Jewish history. Jerusalem, their beloved capital, had been destroyed and most of the people taken captive to far-off Babylon. In this gloomy setting, Jeremiah expresses the conviction that the Lord will raise up a new leader from the line of David to restore and rebuild their homeland.
Second Reading - Hebrews 5:7-9 The Letter to the Hebrews was written to a Christian community that had become dispirited and whose faith was faltering. Jesus is presented in today’s passage as a model of suffering and a source of strength in time of need. (This passage is also part of the second reading on Good Friday.)
10:30 AM Mass First Reading - Ezekiel 37:12-14 The prophet Ezekiel spoke to God’s people during their exile in Babylon, six centuries before Christ. In today’s passage, the prophet (using the image of death and resurrection) assures the people that God will one day bring them back to their homeland. Second Reading - Romans 8:8-11 Paul’s letter to the Romans is his most detailed and important theological work. Throughout the letter, he teaches that Jesus overcame sin and the effects of sin. In today’s passage, Paul stresses that through the Spirit, this saving power of Jesus is present and active in Christians of all times and places.

We will be having our regular Tuesday morning Mass this week (March 20th) but will be gone for the following two weeks (March 27th and April 3rd). We will be on Spring Break on the 27th and will be attending the National Catholic Educators Conference on April 3rd. Our regular Tuesday Mass schedule will resume on April 10th.
TRIVIA NIGHT UPDATE Thank you to all who attended our Annual Trivia Night event last Saturday! We had our biggest crowd ever (372 guests) and made our biggest profit to date (over $16,000). I think everyone in attendance would agree that it was a wonderful and fun evening!
None of this would have been possible without Steve and Michelle West who were the chair persons for this event. They, along with Stephanie Rolph, put countless hours into planning, preparing, getting donations, setting up, etc. for this event. We are certainly blessed
that they were willing to take on this endeavor for us!
