1979 On July 1, 1979, Holy Family Par-ish was canonically established as the 53
rd parish in the Diocese
of Wilmington. Pastor: Msgr. Clement Lemon Associate Pastor: Rev. Michael Angeloni Associate Pastor: Rev. Christo-pher Plokhooy Pastoral Associate: Sister Rita Mary Mich, O.S.F. 1,800 families Programming and services flour-ished St. John’s/Holy Angels agreed to accept ½ of our mortgage so Ho-ly Family Parish could work to-wards implementing Phases II and III. Their generosity continued until 1993 when Holy Family assumed the entire balance of the mortgage.
