We want to share how wonderful Holy Faith is with the wider community. One of the best ways is posting pictures – of big and not so big events. Any time you take pictures of what’s happening around church, we would really appreciate it if you could email them to [email protected]. Thanks! MAY SPECIAL GIFTS is Friends In Deed. Friends in Deed is an interfaith network of over 75 volunteers from 47 area congregations that provide for the needs of low income people in our community. While many of the requests they receive are distributed among the three big categories of housing, transportation, and utilities, there is another 4th category where they provide very special, unique services that other agencies can rarely address. Examples are water heater leaks and breakdowns, sewer backups, furnace repairs, and especially, emergency car repairs. Friends in Deed also arranges for delivery of furniture and larger appliances to people needing these items. Please make your check out to Holy Faith and note “FID” on the memo line. LUNCH BUNCH is tomorrow, May 8 th at Carrigan Café (101 S. Ann Arbor St.) This is an informal chance for parishioners to get together to eat and greet and meet. It’s fun! Hope to see you there! UPCOMING BAPTISMAL DATES (for any person, any age who desires baptism): Mother's Day, May 14th Day of Pentecost, June 4th Please call or email the Church Office if you are interested in baptism on one of these dates, 734- 429-2991 / [email protected] BAPTISM On May 14 th Robert Tilman Schultz, son of Kirsten Smart and Jameson Schultz and grandson of Ingrid Smart will be baptized. PRAYER SHAWLS Our Prayer Shawl ministry is active. If you know of someone whom you feel could be wrapped in the warmth and love of a prayer shawl, please choose one from the quilt rack next to the sanctuary door. Prayer shawls and preemie baby bonnets will be blessed on Mother’s Day, May 14th. If you have shawls or bonnets completed, please bring them for a blessing.

GARDEN REQUEST Books of Paper Matches: Do you have these lying around? The Food Garden Team would like them. We have read that pepper plants enjoy a slow release of sulfur and one of the best ways to make this available is sprinkling some paper matches in the bottom of the planting hole. If you have such things and would like to donate them to the garden, please bring them in and put them in the Cummings or Buchalski/Centlivre mail box. The pepper plants thank you.

Upcoming May/June dates – mark your calendars! May 8th - Lunch Bunch, Carrigan’s Café May 14th - Mother’s Day, Baptism, Blessing of shawls and baby bonnets May 16th - PLT meeting, 6:00 pm May 20th - Paper Pantry May 21 - Mission Café, 3 on the 3rd, Lego Lesson June 4th - Pentecost
