May 6, 2018!
Sixth Sunday of Easter!!God is not looking so much for our accomplishments as he is for our Love. The only thing that will really matter at the moment of our death is whether or not we believed in and accepted Jesus and then if we lived that faith out in love. Saint Paul states clearly that the only thing that matters is “Faith that shows itself or works itself out in Love.” The word and command in this week’s gospel is crystal clear... Love. Saint John of the Cross says that in the eventide of life we shall be judged by love. But above all remember, “Love con-sists in this, Not that we have loved God, but that he loved us first and sent his son as an offering for our sins.”!!No Mass on Monday, May 7th at 5:30 pm.!!
DO YOU KNOW WHY YOUR FAITH IS THE ONE FAITH ALONE?!Even though our faith is made up of many different cultures, languages, and rites, we all profess with a unit-ed voice the one faith that was received from the one Lord that was passed on by the one faith of the apos-tles. We confess one God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit that points to the one way to salvation. We believe with one heart and one soul all that is contained in the Word of God, handed down or written and is divinely revealed. Catechism of the Catholic Church #172175, 182!
