luciditytechnique

This technique showcases the reflection of heat and the absorption of light on a cool background. Lucidity represents a warm overlay of color spilling over and diffusing onto a cool pastel base, much like candlelight plays against a white surface.

Base level: 7 – 9

step 1 Take an off-center diamond shape from the occipital along parietal to brow area. Pre-lighten this section using Formula A. Lift to a pale yellow.

step 2 Shampoo and condition the hair with Keratin Complex® Blondeshell® Debrass & Brighten Shampoo and Conditioner. Blow-dry.

step 3 Apply Formula B using a back-to-back slicing technique. Slice on an off-center triangle within the diamond, from apex to 1 inch from hairline.

step 4 Outline the entire shape with a slice technique (two foil widths), using Formula C.

step 5 Apply Formula D on the remainder of the diamond shape.

step 6 Apply Formula E on the remainder of the head with a classic tint application and process according to recommended manufacturer instructions.

To maintain vibrant, long-lasting color that stays true to tone, use Keratin Complex Keratin Color Care or Blondeshell Shampoo and Conditioner.

hologramtechnique

A hologram is created by splitting the light that illuminates the subject. The resulting three-dimensional image shifts in perspective when viewed from different angles. This hair-color technique mimics that prismatic effect to create three-dimensionality. Starting with a true tone, the tonality shifts to a more delicate palette as the light diffuses through it.

step 3 Apply Formula B throughout head and process for 35 minutes.

step 4 Remove the color, rinse well and blow-dry hair.

step 5 Take the triangular section and diagonally divide it in half.

step 6 Using a back-to-back slicing technique, apply Formula C to back area of triangle.

step 7 Using a back-to-back slicing technique, apply Formula D to front area of triangle.

step 8 Place foiled slices along the hairline, alternating between Formula E and Formula F.

projectiontechnique

Projection is a technique that mimics how a spotlight plays against a black abyss. By staying in an extremely cool palette, the colors work in harmony and the level of each becomes its characteristic. This technique is seen onstage and in black-and-white movies.
