FLORIADE FESTIVAL IN CANBERRASeptember 17 to 24 (eight days)

As the weather becomes warmer and the flowers come into bloom, come with us to experience the explosion of colour at the beautiful Floriade Festival in Canberra! Originally a grand, one-off floral tribute, thirty years later Floriade is Canberra’s most iconic annual tourism event and Australia’s premier spring festival. On our eight day trip we also take the opportunity to visit some of Canberra’s iconic attractions; we cruise Lake Burley Griffin, visit the Mint and the National Capital exhibition and much more besides! The beauty and diversity of the Murray River provides a spectacular backdrop for this overnight getaway. During the day, we take time to admire the river from the foreshore as we explore near Murray Bridge. Then at sunset, we see how the Murray changes while cruising the waters from Mannum. We continue our tour to the Barossa to discover some of the highlights of this region, visiting the historical Collingrove Homestead and a number of local producers. The Flinders Ranges is one of the oldest landscapes on Earth; a part of South Australia that was shaped by the ancient serpents and giants of the Aboriginal Dreaming. Renowned for its natural, cultural and geological significance, the Flinders Ranges is one of Australia’s premier national landscapes. This tour takes in both the famous Wilpena Pound area in the central Flinders, plus the magnificent rugged beauty of Arkaroola in the northern Flinders. There are weather-worn ridges, towering granite peaks, magnificent gorges and mysterious waterholes. We take the famous Ridge-Top Tour at Arkaroola, and enjoy the input of a local guide in the central Flinders.

With over 700 kilometres of stunning coastline, the Yorke Peninsula is a gorgeous holiday destination and a favourite for many South Australians. Come and cruise over 500 km of the mighty River Murray – virtually the entire River Murray in SA – with our friends from Spirit Australia Cruises. The scene of the first paddle steamers, this stretch of the river offers so much scenic variety as it flows by river flats, irrigated orchards, station country, dairy farmland, spectacular golden cliffs and willow-lined river banks. Bird life abounds and the area is rich in Aboriginal and European history. We will cruise past many towns, under bridges and through several locks, plus we take an Aboriginal Heritage tour, visit the historic railway station at Morgan, enjoy a wine tasting at Banrock Station and afternoon tea at Chowilla Station.

MONARTO ZOO OVERNIGHTEROctober 23 to 24 (two days)

Monarto Zoo is one of the largest open-range zoos in the world. More than 500 animals roam in a natural safari-style setting spanning over 1,500 hectares. Last year the zoo celebrated the births of Greater Bilby twins, Tasmanian Devils, Cheetah cubs, Meerkats, three giraffes, Zebras and a Scimitar-horned Oryx which are extinct in the wild. We are taken around to the various wildlife viewing platforms so that we can see the animals up close. We spend the night in Mannum and the next day enjoy a peaceful morning tea cruise and take a beautiful scenic drive to the Barossa Valley.

ANLABY STATION OPEN GARDEN OVERNIGHTEROctober 20 to 21 (two days)

The beautiful and historic Anlaby Station’s ten acres of garden are open to the public for one weekend in October each year. This year we are delighted to be offering a special overnight tour taking in these gardens on one day, and exploring the delightful region on the other. In 1904 the gardens had fourteen gardeners maintaining them! Today they are a restoration work in progress and will be wonderful to explore, alongside the Open Garden festivities. This brand new tour will be a pleasure!

Just off the mainland of South Australia is Australia’s third largest island, one of natural, rugged beauty that serves as a sanctuary for our native wildlife. With more than one third of Kangaroo Island being dedicated to a National or Conservation Park, it is no surprise that it has been called ‘one of earth’s last unspoilt refuges’. Best known for its pristine wilderness, it also offers an appetising collection of local produce, from sheep’s milk cheese and yoghurt to a unique variety of honey that we can try. Kangaroo Island is the perfect short escape amongst some of South Australia’s most magnificent scenery and unique wildlife.

The Hunter Valley is one of the largest river valleys on the NSW coast and is also home to some of Australia’s most magnificent gardens. The highlight of this tour though is the Hunter Valley Gardens. The charming town of Loxton shines in the lead up to Christmas. With thousands of dazzling lights, colourful ornaments and sparkling displays creating a magic Christmas spectacle, this is the ideal place to delight in the festive atmosphere! An enormous Christmas tree shines brightly at the centre of town and the local community adorn their homes with colourful fairy lights and Christmas scenes as they embrace the spirit of the Loxton Lights Festival. During our two day break we also take time to enjoy other highlights of the region. Come and join the festivities of this this welcoming Riverland community.

Holiday Tour Inclusions: All meals, accommodation and attractions!

Home Pick-Up: A free home pick-up can be arranged for all of our tours from most parts of the Adelaide metropolitan area. If you would like to check that you are within our home pick-up region, please give our office a call.

Tour Numbers: Although it is rare for a tour to be cancelled, we do require a minimum number of bookings for our tours to operate. Of course, in the unfortunate event that a tour does cancel, we will refund all moneys paid.

Travel Insurance: Insurance is inexpensive and we strongly recommend it to safeguard

against unnecessary loss due to illness or accident either before or during the tour.

Making a Booking: A deposit must be paid with your booking. After you enquire we will send you a detailed itinerary with booking information and a booking form. Please complete the booking form and return it with your deposit.

We can reserve a place for you when you enquire, however please confirm the booking with a deposit within 10 days or your place will be made available to others.

If you send a deposit and the tour is already booked out, we can either return it or transfer it to another tour, whatever your preference.

Final Payment: Full payment is generally due 45 days prior to the tour departure. Please check the individual tour information regarding when the final payment is due as some tours have different requirements.

We accept Cash, Direct Deposit, Money Orders, Personal Cheques, EFTPOS (debit card) and Credit Cards for payment. Credit Card payments attract a surcharge.

Early Booking: We recommend that if you are interested in a particular tour you contact us early to let us know and to book your seat. We would hate for you to miss out!
