+ Since 1917, whenever there has been a need at home or around the world, Lions members have helped. In Easton, Lions members have served the community for more than 85 years, since 1931. WE SERVE – Nearly 1.4 million Lions men and women, in more than 46,000 clubs from 208 countries around the world, answer the needs that challenge the communities of the world. Lions tackle tough problems like the cure and prevention of blindness, support for the deaf, and diabetes awareness. We also engage in projects to care for the environment, feed the hungry, and aid seniors and the disabled. COMMUNITY LEADERS – Lions improve the quality of life in their local communities by building parks, (as our Yardley-Wood Rink), supporting local programs in schools, hospitals, community organizations, and charity events. We do this through fund-raising activities from which 100% of the proceeds are used for charitable purposes.

This 2018 Holiday Festival Book is dedicated to the Memory of two Lions who recently passed

Lion Joe Techiera joined the Lions in 1960 and was an active member from the day he joined right up to his passing in April of this year. Joe was involved in many of the Club’s activities. His commitment to our Club never wavered, and his energy was constant. His dedication to the Club is evidenced by his holding the office of Club President twice, as well as representing our Club at eight International Conventions. Lion Paul Fruzzetti entered our Club with a warm smile and hearty handshake in 1998 and met every Lion with that same approach: as soon as you met Paul, you had a friend. Paul took pride in welcoming new members, making sure they were introduced to other members and found activities to participate in. His commitment to Club philanthropic activities was always present, and his accomplishments as a Lion earned him the recognition as Lion of the Year in 2000, no easy feat in a club of over 150 members. We miss Joe and Paul, but their legacies as Lions live on... We shall miss him”.

Now in its 32th year, the Holiday Festival in Easton Village is a tradition families look forward to. It’s traditions like this that help bring our community together and make our town a great place to live! The Easton Lions Club is proud to be bringing this to you and are truly grateful to our faithful sponsors who continue to support this wonderful event each year. Please help them to help us by supporting these businesses and individuals you see at the Rockery and in this booklet, all year long. Be sure to thank them for being an integral part of our Easton community. Peace and God Bless, Ram Penumarthy, President, Easton Lions Club
