Nikita Tanwani Fbb Femina Miss

India Andra Pradesh 2019

1. How was your Miss India experience?Extremely adventurous and fun and an experience of a life time. Also , an eye opener when it comes to knowing yourself and your limits and potential when you really want something truly. The experience transformed each one of us I suppose into more responsible beings as well because you come to realise how the platform and exposure given to you can be used in so many ways to make a dierence. And this collective experience created bonds that we will cherish forever :)

2. Tell us your favourite things about Andra Pradesh. Some of my favourite things about Andhra Pradesh are rooted in the simplest of things , their beautiful sarees and the art you can see in their temples and even along walls in cities. Also, their spicy food and the famous Tirupati ladoos are a great combination.

3. How will you promote AP tourism as Miss India Andra Pradesh?I think Andhra Pradesh has everything for every kind of traveler, whether it's beaches, a hill station, caves and canyons and even waterfalls. Also, several places in Andhra are very popular in movies as well as their famous sarees. With the Miss India title, I feel I can show facets of Andhra to the young people that are not just known tourist destinations but lesser known hidden gems which make the state even more beautiful.

4. What does travel mean to you? Travel to me means letting go of the mundaneness and opening up yourself to new experiences and new people and most importantly, new food! :D Soakinging in theculture in places suggested by the local people is my favourite way of travel. Someone rightly said - ' Travel is the only thing that you buy that makes you richer.' And I guess that is going to mean so much more to each of us in coming times.

5. Your favourite travel destinations and whyI'm a mountain lover and enjoy trekking so Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand are favourites. Apart from that, I have fond memories of Yosemite National Park and the canyons in California as a kid and a Europe trip is also coming up whenever we can travel again so I'm looking forward to alot of rich cultural experiences.

4. Hampi, Karnataka

3.Gokarna, Karnataka

Gokarna has it all! From calm beaches to mesmerizing temples and from mysterious caves to busy streets it has right mix of spirituality, scenic beauty and hippie vibes. It is a small quaint town in Karnataka famous for its temples. It is famous for Mahabaleshwar temple which is believed to house original image of Lord Shiva’s Linga (Atmalinga). However, in last decade the place has emerged as hot destination for tourists worldwide for its serene unspoiled beaches and spiritual yet cool vibes. Mainly foreign travellers and youngsters have started travelling this place to get a mix of Hrishikesh and Goa, best of both worlds right? While in Gokarna, we will suggest to do a Gokarna beach trek, famously known as ‘the Golden route’.

Hampi needs no introduction! Being the capital of the last Hindu kingdom, the 14th century Vijayanagara empire, It is a UNESCO world heritage site and a popular tourist destination. Located in Karnataka, this distant town has ruins of temples, forts, royal complexes and structures spread over 4100 hectares. Luckily we happen to visit Hampi during annual Hampi Utsav and got to see rich culture and heritage of Vijayanagara kingdom through art and music. The main attractions here can be broadly classied in Sacred centre and royal centre. The sacred center of Hampi include mainly temple and religious statues. The royal centre as the name suggests mainly consists of monumentsassociated with royalties. While you are here do not forget to explore hippie island side as well.

The otherwise quiet valley lights up and echoes with sounds of laughter and music in month of September. In this month it hosts a four day outdoor music festival known as Ziro Festival of Music. Ziro Music Festival showcase independent music scene in India. This fest is a beautiful amalgamation of culture, music and nature hosted by Apatani people of Ziro. Other than that, morning walk to pine forests, interacting with local Apatani people, shopping souvenirs at Hapoli market, exploring nearby Hong village on bicycle, trying shing with hands in Apatani style are the few of the many activities we recommend to indulge in once you are in Ziro.

Fashion is an aesthetic expression of self. It could range from lifestyle to accessories and clothing to footwear. It has become a vital aspect of people’s life. Be it pulling style statements or bizarre vintage trends, fashion has seen it all!Indian fashion has always been a trend setter at a every given time. In its context, it has been a life changing game for many, through the years. Right from the independence of the country, or even from the advent of use of khadi as a symbolization of peaceful revoltwas fashion. The usage of pu sleeves in the 90s to the modern-day trend of ripped jeans are all fashion statements. It’s a keen observation made in the fashion industry, not only the change in clothing and accessories, but also the lifestyle and the mindset of the masses. What was considered a fashion fad back then, is trending now. What was considered a trend back then, has found its way as a fashion fad now. Coming back to Indian fashion, the one of the most remarkable fashion trends or a change that’s been observed is the assimilation of western culture with the Indian roots. The classic example is the draping of a saree, many trendsetters have introduced “saree pants” as the new fashion statement. The roaring 80s saw quite a demand of bell bottom pants, which was also an attire loved by both genders equally! The 80s marked a huge participation from women and the advent of disco, the outts could be spot as jazz and glam. The 90s saw a drift of the fashion towards the arrival of full sleeved salwar kameez, oral dresses, long skirts, denims and dungarees. The one of the most prominent statement was Anu Aggrawal’s Aashiqui look. Women raided the scarf look over their outts, whereas men’s fashion saw the change to a more vibrant clothing, usage of colors and loose tted shirts. Govinda was considered a fashion icon in the 90s for his looks.

Fashion Revolution By - Vaishavi Jaiswal

The decades following the 90s, followed a bold make over and more of westernized fashion. Fusion had always been in trend. With the beginning of the 21st century, women portrayed independent roles and their fashion styles reected it. They were more comfortable in pants, shorts, skirts, halter-necks and, bold costumes. Fashion became more cosmopolitan than region specic. Traditional clothing found a modernized way, women were seen wearing bold blouses, back-button blouses, katori style and pued sleeved blouses became rst preference rather than the traditional style of blouses.Evolution of the fashion through the years has been monumental. What we wear today as “fashion” took a long time to reach a state where we are comfortable in our bodies and our way of lifestyle. We owe it to the people who are the trendsetters of their era and the people who played a vital role in this fashion revolution.

Here are some tips to help you upgrade your wardrobe.1.Picking up travel outts is not a big deal. We can always make it up according to the location and obviously, weather. Page 20www.hohophileguide.com

4.Statement jewelries are core ingredient of all the looks. One should have these in the color gold silver and bronze to pair up with most of the outts. Accessories including some delicate chokers, neck piece, watches, sunglasses, hats and bracelets can make any outt look graceful and elegant. We can always use our creativity to mix-match and make a fresh yet unique look.

5. Well we know that fashion is not limited to certain range of terms. We have access to some apparels right from streets to high end stores. Whereas there are some parameters that dierentiates both. Consider street shopping as an option. Here are a some things you must keep in mind. Street wear are pocket friendly while high end shops can sometimes be extravagant, but at the same time high end shops provides good quality fabric and tends to last long. In case of street wears quality degrades and garments can damage in a little period of time. What is social distancing?Nowadays, social distancing has become a buzz word, everyone is talking about social distancing. According to Merriam-Webster, the practice of maintaining a greater than usual physical distance (such as six feet or more) from other people or of avoiding direct contact with people or objects in public places during the outbreak of a contagious disease in order to minimize exposure and reduce the transmission of infection the practice of maintaining a greater than usual physicaldistance (such as six feet or more) from other people or of avoiding direct contact with people or objects in public places during the outbreak of a contagious disease in order to minimize exposure and reduce the transmission of infection. Social distancing means keeping space between yourself and other people outside your house. Why is it important to have social distancing in today’s world? As the whole world is facing so much of problem due to corona virus, it’s very important to have social or physical distancing. A survey says one infected person can spread this virus to more than 400 people, so we can make an estimate as to how dangerous it actually is. That is why social distancing is such an important containment measure. It is important to be informed about what is happening throughout the world. Harvard scientists conducted computer simulations modelling in dierent ways the pandemic could play out. In fact, according to a group of Harvard disease experts, some form of intermittent social distancing may need to be in place until 2022. That’s because once the initial wave of COVID-19 infections has passed, further outbreaks could occur. Government ocials and ministers are quotes saying that until a vaccine is invented, the world needs to constantly take steps to avoid this virus outbreak. So, we should use the internet to stay up to date to the current information about the virus but still not overwhelm ourselves with too much information.Practicing social distancing:In addition to everyday steps of precaution against COVID-19, you must follow rules imposed by the authorities. Instead of meeting physically, you can connect through cell phones and the power of internet. It appears that people above 60 years of age and with tarnished medical history are the ones most at risk here. But, even if you are not in the high risk demographic, you must practice social distancing. If you need to shop for food or medicine i.e. the essentials, you must stay at least 6 feet away from others, wear mask, keep sanitizing yourself, avoid large and small gatherings, work from home. Many people work as silent carriers of the virus, putting exponential amount of lives at risk every day.Working class must work from home and consider how much work can be done without any form of physical contact. Many have discovered, that their jobs are not necessarily physical jobs and can be operated remotely, Everybody should understand that this is for you, for us and for the entire nation. Tough time needs tough measures and this is actually a tough time for whole nation.
