OHMI is going on a field trip to see HMS Pinafore at the Detroit Opera House! Tickets are $10/person, and need to be ordered by February 1st. Please sign up for tickets on the registration sheet on the sign-in table. The performance starts at 11am, and lasts about an hour. Performed in English. There is a Teacher Resource Guide that we will send to you after you register for tickets.

HMS Pinafore is an operetta by Gilbert & Sullivan, the same composers who wrote Pirates of Penzance!!, the musical OHMI did two years ago. It is the story

of a captain’s daughter who is in love with with a common seaman, but her father wants her to marry the First Lord of the Admiralty.

However, things are not always as they seem...and how the story comes to a happy ending will be exciting to find out!
