Sub: Ammendment no. 1 of Technical circular no. RDSO/2012/ EL/ TC/119 Rev-1 dated 20.3.2013 for implementing bilingual display of fault messages in Microprocessor based Control & fault diagnostic System (MPCS).

1. Railway Board vide their letter no. 2008/Elect (TRS)/113/5 dated 26.12.2016 had advised RDSO to make suitable modification in MPCS software to ensure bilingual display of fault messages for ease of troubleshooting by the crew.

2. Accordigly, RDSO had prepared amendment-1 of TC-119, which amends Table -1 of TC 119 which specifies faults messages and action to be taken by crew.

3. Details of fault messages and action to be taken by crew are defined in ammended Table-1 of the Technical circular no. RDSO/2012/EL/TC/119 Rev-1. The fault messages and action to be taken by crew will be displayed both in English & Hindi.

4. Technical circular no. RDSO/2012/EL/TC/119 Rev-1 along with amendment-1 specifies the technical details of MPCS version-3 with specification no. ELRS/SPEC/MPC-FDS/0001 Rev.-3.

5. It is advised to modify the software and implement the amended Table-1 of TC 119 with in 3 months in MPCS version-3.
