Entitled “HIV drug development in advance pharmaceutical science”, this year HIV-AIDS campaign is held by arrange a talkshow about HIV drug. Besides increase the awareness of HIV, we also wanted to promote the importance of pharmacist role to fight against the disease. For the talkshow, we invited two physicians, a pharmacist and a person with HIV-AIDS as the speakers. The physicians explained about the virus and clinical aspects’ of HIV. How the virus replicated, what are the symptoms of HIV etc. While the pharmacist explained about the development of HIV drugs, the mechanism of the drugs, and expectation of future HIV drugs development. The last session was the sharing session, the HIV-AIDS patient named Ms Sarinah, a transgender. She delivered her story how she lived in the past, how she felt when she knew she got HIV. She has to consume HIV drugs everyday. Now she joins LSM KEBAYA where people with HIV-AIDS like her are trained for some skills. Ms Sarinah often gets job to prepare some foods with her friends from LSM KEBAYA.

After the talkshow session, participants were asked to go to a field where they were given red balloons to hold. Then they formed a human red ribbon with holding red balloon. After photo session, 100 balloons were released simultaneously as the symbol of fight against HIV-AIDS.
