In the year 2009, anthropologists across the world came together to find out which event had had the greatest influence since the onset of human history and publicized their finding.

According to their research, of the twenty events and figures that influenced humankind the most, the birth and life of Jesus was ranked in first place.

When the human body is worn out, it dies. But when the heart stopped beating and lungs stopped heaving, his/her inner self continues immediately his/her life in another existence.

He/she is now a spirit and no one on this earth can with their bodily eyes see him/her.

Swedenborg

Page 14: History of Spiritualism v. 4.2 Introduction. “Bring up the ghost of Samuel,” he (King Saul) answered. 12 When the woman saw Samuel, she screamed. Then.

He/she has, however, in her new existence left a body that on the dot corresponds to the body he/she had on earth but in other for us unimaginable substance on the nature of Swedenborg himself is uncertain.

He/she sees and hears and feels. He/she has the stomach, liver, kidneys, and even bladder and she hungers and thirsts.

Swedenborg

If the dead shall become alive first on the Day of Judgment? Were, are they then after death, asks Swedenborg.

“Is Adam and Eve and all with them hovering in Space?

What could be more wailing, lamenting and more difficult than such a wait?

Can not their destiny be compared with prisoners, bound with chains and fetter?

Swedenborg

Page 16: History of Spiritualism v. 4.2 Introduction. “Bring up the ghost of Samuel,” he (King Saul) answered. 12 When the woman saw Samuel, she screamed. Then.

If man had such a lot after death were it not better to be born a donkey than a Human? Is not the body eaten by worms, rats and fish? ?

And could a skeleton, dried out by the sun or decay into dust be introduced in a new body?“ (T § 693)

Swedenborg's suggestion about a new life immediately after death is a classy counteroffer.

Convinced (Spirit World inspired)that sin had begun with Adam and Eve's sex act in the Garden of Eden,Ann Lee insisted that sexual relations were the root of all sin.

Men and women would achieve salvation only by overcoming this fleshly desire.

Compare sexual interpretationwith Sun Myung Moons Divine Principle:The Spiritual Fall and the Physical FallGod created human beings with two components: the spirit self and the physical self.

The human Fall likewise took place in two dimensions: the spiritual and the physical. The fall which took place through the sexual relationship between the angel and Eve was the spiritual fall, while the fall which occurred through the sexual relationship between Eve and Adam was the physical fall.

The Fox sisters were three sisters from New York who played an important role in the creation of Spiritualism: Leah (1814–1890), Margaret (also called Maggie) (1833–1893) and Kate (also called catherine) Fox (1837–1892).[1] The two younger sisters used "rappings" to convince their much older sister and others that they were communicating with spirits.

Of one such test, Crookes stated that Home went to the fireplace and after stirring the hot coals around with his bare hands, took out a red-hot piece nearly as large as an orange, and "putting it on his right hand, so as to almost completely enclose it, he then blewinto the small furnace" he had made of his hand “until the lump of charcoal was nearly white hot," and then drew Crookes's attention to the flame that was "flickering over the coal and licking round his fingers."

On April 10, 1912, William T. Stead boarded the S.S. Titanic bound from Southampton to New York, to take part in a peace congress at Carnegie Hall.

On the morning of April 15 the ship struck an iceberg and Stead, along with hundreds of others, drowned.

At that time his daughter, Estelle, an actress and also a spiritualist, was on tour with her own Shakespearean company. Amongst its members was a psychically gifted man named Pardoe Woodman, who foretold the disaster as they sat talking after tea. Through Woodman’s clairvoyant powers W. T. Stead was able to communicate the messages contained in The Blue Island

William Branham USA had been hearing voices since he was seven years old. Finally, in May of 1946, Branham was commissioned by an angel from God to be the forerunner of the Second Coming of Christ.

One of the more radical beliefs of the group is that of Serpent Seed which states that the first sin committed occurred when Eve engaged in sexual activities with the Serpent in the Garden of Eden thus causing "the fall of man."

A MYSTERIOUS CLOUD

On February 28, 1963, over in Arizona, U.S.A., a constellation of seven angels appeared to Reverend William Marrion Branham in the form of a ring shaped-Cloud.

These seven angels came from the presence of God revealing to him the hidden mysteries of the Bible which were sealed in the Book of Daniel and the Book of Revelation yet were ordained to be unveiled at the end time.

A MYSTERIOUS CLOUD

Many pictures were taken of this peculiar Cloud, some appearing in Life Magazine (May 17, 1963 issue); some in Science Magazine (April 19,1963 issue), along with a scientific report of how it was scientifically impossible for such a cloud to exist. The highest clouds form at about 10 miles, but this phenomenal cloud was 26 miles up, at which altitude water vapor does not exist.

The next time I came, they led me to the study room and gave me a book writtenby Dr. Young Oon Kim, introducing the Divine Principle revelation.

When I read the passage about the similarity of the time of Jesus’ birth and the Second Coming, I started to joke about this “nonsense.” In the next moment, I was stunned. I saw Jesus pass through the room, saying, “I am in this place!” Then he disappeared as he had entered. A wave of peace settled around me.

In the following days, I was so concerned not to make a mistake. When I knelt down to pray to ask if this was really the truth, it was ringing from all sides, “Yes! Yes!” and God chastised me gently, “Why do you ask me again? This was my answer.”

From that time on, I started to study the Divine Principle and Reverend Moon with a calm mind and the assurance that God and Jesus had led me there.

January 1, 1976.As a young church member, I was alwayscurious as to whether Father Moon could heal people. Then in 1982, I got the answer through a direct experience.

I had injured my right hip during a martial artstraining accident one Saturday afternoon and had tobe carried out. I did not want to go to the hospital, because I did not want to miss our early 5:00 A Mservice, even though I was in excruciating pain. “I will see a doctor after service,” I thought.

But during the night Father Moon came to me, looking very serious, and touched my right hip.

He pointed his finger at me with that look in his eyes,as if to say, “You doubting Thomas,” and then heleft.

I was awakened at 4:30 AM, and my thoughtswent to my injured hip. Suddenly, a voice said, “Getup,” which I apprehensively did. To my amazementthere was not an inkling of pain. Everyone wasshocked when I walked into the room. After serviceI gave my testimony. / Richard J. Francis

At the end of twenty-one days, I watched a video of True Father (Reverend Moon) for the first time.

As he appeared on the screen, I started to hearangels’ voices singing a song I had sung everyEaster with my church choir back in Minnesota:“The King is coming, the King is coming, I can hearthe trumpets sounding, and soon his face I’ll see.”

41974:I found myself walking in a dark corridor, at the end of which I saw a light. Getting closer, I saw in that bright lightthe face of Jesus.

Then Jesus’ face changed into Sun MyungMoon’s face. I had the strong feeling that it was the same heart; only the external appearancechanged. I felt profoundly happy!

My challenge to all true Christians is topray and ask Jesus to appear in their dreams. Ask Jesus about the identity of Reverend Moon. Remember Matthew 7:7. If you sincerely ask, definitely the reply willcome, even faster than you expect.

Since the time I first met the Unification Church, which is now known as the Family Federation for World Peaceand Unification, I have had many dream encountersand many other spiritual experiences. These, alongwith the clarity of Divine Principle, became thefoundation of my belief, faith, and trust in God. /Elisabeth Ciacciarelli Schneider Italy

One year later, in 1971, I began havingdreams every morning at around 5:00 AM. For exactly three years, I would dream of an Oriental man who would appear to me in what appeared to be a huge stadium filled with people.

Two weeks later, I met one of the Japanesemissionaries from the Unification Churchand was invited to the church center. Whilewaiting for the lecture, I curiously opened a Divine Principle Book, and I saw the picture of Father Moon. The book immediately seemed to turn togold, and a blinding ray of white light from Father’spicture came out at me.

Prof. Young Oon Kim

Page 61: History of Spiritualism v. 4.2 Introduction. “Bring up the ghost of Samuel,” he (King Saul) answered. 12 When the woman saw Samuel, she screamed. Then.

Often people ask how I was able to accept the Divine Principle.

There were several contributing factors.

One of them is because I was greatly influenced by the teachings of Emanuel Swedenborg and still treasure them deeply because they have continued to have lasting value in my spiritual life.

Page 62: History of Spiritualism v. 4.2 Introduction. “Bring up the ghost of Samuel,” he (King Saul) answered. 12 When the woman saw Samuel, she screamed. Then.

According to Swedenborg, there is a correspondencebetween what takes place on earth and what occurs in the other world.

Page 63: History of Spiritualism v. 4.2 Introduction. “Bring up the ghost of Samuel,” he (King Saul) answered. 12 When the woman saw Samuel, she screamed. Then.

"The human fall took place not by breaking any promises but through the blood lineage. Therefore, the fall, which happened through the blood lineage, must be corrected through the blood lineage.

God's purpose to restore the True Parents has always been the same. The Messiah is the True Parents.

Page 64: History of Spiritualism v. 4.2 Introduction. “Bring up the ghost of Samuel,” he (King Saul) answered. 12 When the woman saw Samuel, she screamed. Then.

Therefore the essence or purpose of Christianity, Judaism and the Unification Church is the same.

What is the Completed Testament Age? It is on the cosmic level. Its goal is to have even the spirit world receive the True Parents. It is on a different dimension. 1984.04.29

Page 65: History of Spiritualism v. 4.2 Introduction. “Bring up the ghost of Samuel,” he (King Saul) answered. 12 When the woman saw Samuel, she screamed. Then.

Why is it important to know about the Laws of Spiritual World!

”The internal character is invisible to the physical senses and yet it is responsible for the behavior of the external reality that is observed, directly or indirectly, by humans.

The implication of this is that the invisible inner world of creation is causal and therefore more important than the world known to human senses.

Yet little is known about the internal, spiritual, dimension of reality.

Page 66: History of Spiritualism v. 4.2 Introduction. “Bring up the ghost of Samuel,” he (King Saul) answered. 12 When the woman saw Samuel, she screamed. Then.

This is due, in part, to the fact that it is a realm intangible to the five senses of the body and beyond the reach of scientific instruments; consequently its study has remained the province of religion, which is the object of considerable skepticism in the modern, scientific world.”

Since the body is needed to provide vitality elements for growth of the spirit, the growing process to spiritual maturity is to be carried out on earth.

Page 67: History of Spiritualism v. 4.2 Introduction. “Bring up the ghost of Samuel,” he (King Saul) answered. 12 When the woman saw Samuel, she screamed. Then.

Men and women who do not reach the completion stage on earth have to continue their efforts to grow as disembodied spirits.

This is unimaginably more difficult than growing while on earth, since on earth an individual has a body to give vitality elements to his spirit directly.

Page 68: History of Spiritualism v. 4.2 Introduction. “Bring up the ghost of Samuel,” he (King Saul) answered. 12 When the woman saw Samuel, she screamed. Then.

In Italy we were connected with God through the Divine Principle and Sun Myung MoonFranco Ravaglioli July 1970

This spirit told many people what to expect and gave many particulars about this man's mission.

A few months before I came in contact with Divine Principle, the spirit said that very soon I would learn something about this man. In fact a few months after I was introduced to Divine Principle...

As I read the book I felt that this was the truth. I was certain that this was, finally, the manifestation of the Christ.

Extraordinary Messages fromHeavenOne of the mediums from Moderna was very different. This woman, Lidia, was blind. I put into her hand a bell from Father's wedding cake and asked her what it was. She looked most perplexed as she began to receive heavenly messages.

…at first she could not believe the messages as they were so incredibly unusual, then she said, "Yes, God has a basis on earth through this man; divinemarriage; no one can stop him." Then I questioned her about Father and she told mein detail about the origin of sin Father discovered.

Baba Vanga mentioned a new religion that will take the earth by the storm:

The White color associated with that new religion is often associated with the White Brotherhood, but is more possibly representing a religion coming from Korea, known as the people of the white clothes.

"Christ will Return as a peacemaker" and unify all religions.Vanga promises that the prophecy in the Bible concerning the Second Coming of Christ will come true.

She described him as a peacemaker who comes to our time and "will sign the eternal peace".

In Vanga's words God is one and religions will soon find a common purpose and the whole humanity will come to believe one truth.

The new religious leader, coming from the East as the Messianic figure to guide humanity towards peace will unite all religions;

All speech (no matter what the language) has its origins in the ideas and emotions of our intellect and heart.

In the spiritual world—which is closer to the origins of our being and mind—individuals communicate their ideas and affections directly to others (forgoing terrestrial words).

I feel an affinity for Tesla because I believe he was a mystic who was being inspired by the spirit world.

In my view, many great scientific inventions have come as revelations from heaven. I believe that heaven was working through Tesla, and others like him, to advance God’s Providence. Tesla was very idealistic and hoped that his inventions would be used for the benefit of all humanity.

Twin girls, Brielle and Kyrie, were born12 weeks ahead of their due date. Needing intensive care, they were placed in separate incubators.

Kyrie began to gain weight and her health stabilized. But Brielle, born only 2 lbs, had trouble breathing, heart problems and other complications.

She was not expected to live.

A True Story

Page 162: History of Spiritualism v. 4.2 Introduction. “Bring up the ghost of Samuel,” he (King Saul) answered. 12 When the woman saw Samuel, she screamed. Then.

Their nurse did everything she could to make Brielle’s health better, but nothing she did was helping her. With nothing else to do, their nurse went against hospital policy and decided to place both babies in the same incubator.

She left the twin girls to sleep and when she returned she found a sight she could not believe. She called all the nurses and doctors and this is what they saw (refer to the picture above).

As Brielle got closer to her sister, Kyrie put her small little arm around her, as if to hug and support her sister.

Page 163: History of Spiritualism v. 4.2 Introduction. “Bring up the ghost of Samuel,” he (King Saul) answered. 12 When the woman saw Samuel, she screamed. Then.

From that moment on, Brielle’s breathing and heart rate stabilized and her health became normal.

From then on, they decided to keep both babies together, because when they were together they kept each other alive.

And today (2011) they are 15 years old.

A powerful witness that there is great new hope on the horizon.

"On Easter I had a spiritual experience that I would like to share with you.At one point, when I closed my eyes, I saw True Father in front of me. He was so lively, and beaming with happiness. He wore a light beige coloured suit, a white shirt and a light coloured tie.

He was standing very relaxed, putting his weight more on one hip. Then I saw that True Father was holding hands with Jesus, who was standing to his right.True Father was so blissfully happy.

Jesus was dressed in a white cotton gown, with a red and blue stripe going down from the top to the bottom on each side of his neck.
