THE GAME Minecraft is an indie game that was

introduced to the world in 2009. The game was created by a sweddish game programmer called Markus Person, also known as ¨Notch¨. The game itself runs completly on Java and can be played on Windows, Mac, and Linux.

WHAT IS MINECRAFT? Minecraft is basically a game where you can

do ANYTHING. Yup, I´m not kidding, in Minecraft, you can do anything you can imagine. I am not going to say everything you can do in this game because the list would be too long, but trust me, once you start playing this game, you will never stop. Addiction is guaranteed. Currently, Minecraft is on version 1.4.2. The game is updated every 2-3 months. Now, Minecraft is packed with different materials and things that you can build with. But back in 2009, Minecraft was not as huge as it is today.

THE BEGINING When it first came out, Minecraft was just a

game where you had a couple of blocks and you could build stuff with them, as time went, trees and lakes were added in the game, animals were added, then some more blocks like wood or rock, and mobs, wich are basically the enemies of Minecraft. The video below explains this with a bit more detail

SUCCES Minecraft has become a viral succes in the

entire internet. One of the most famous youtube channels that relates ONLY to Minecraft is ¨Vareide¨. Vareide is a youtube channel that works for Mojang, the company that made the game. Vareide makes all of the Minecraft videos taht are featured on the mojang channel.

More than 7 million people have bought Minecraft, and about 20 million have registered, the number of registered users increases every second! While the number of people who bought the game increases every few minutes! The game is not expensive at all. Its 26$ for the game and the same price in all countries. When I lived in Los Angeles, Minecraft but not that popular. Now I am living in Russia, where, believe or not, Minecraft is a MASSIVE thing!

MINECRAFT PORTABLE!?

Yes, yes, Minecraft is also abailable for , iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, and Android, for only 5$. However, the graphics in Minecraft Pocket edition are slightly worse than the ones on computer, other than that, its a great game to pass the time on long airplane or car rides.
