Excel-Arc 71(AWS E71T-1C/-1M/-9C/-9M)Excel-Arc 71 is a versatile, high-penetrating gas-shielded flux-cored wire designed to provide a low-hydrogen weld deposit using a spray-type transfer mode. The wire operates with either 100% CO2 or a 75% Argon/25% CO2 shielding gas mixture and exceeds the AWS impact strength requirement of 20 ft.lb. at both 0°F and -20°F. It offers best-in-class operability, slag removal and bead shape on both single- and multi-pass applications, along with low spatter levels. Excel-Arc 71 offers all-position welding capabilities.

FabCO Hornet (AWS E71T-1C/-1M/-9C/-9M)FabCO Hornet gas-shielded flux-cored welding wire is designed for all-position applications and produces flat bead profiles, low spatter levels and an easy-to-remove slag. The wire is usable with either 100% CO2 or a 75% Argon/25% CO2 shielding gas mixture and is recommended for single- and multi-pass applications. It provides good impact properties at temperatures as low as -20°F.

FabCO rXr (AWS E70T-1C/-9C)FabCO RXR gas-shielded flux-cored wire features extra deoxidizers for welding through rust, mill scale, or light oil on either single- or multi-pass applications in the flat or horizontal positions. FabCO RXR has a spray-type transfer, low spatter and an easily removed and moderate volume slag that completely covers the weld bead. It offers deep penetration, a low-hydrogen deposit, and is designed for use with 100% CO2 shielding gas only.

Applications: Steel structures, storage vessels, earthmoving equipment, heavy fabrication, and railroad car applications, including center sills, strikers, bolsters, side sheets, plus low-alloy or mild steel

FabCO Tr-70 (AWS E70T-1C H8/-9C H8)FabCOTR-70 wire offers a deep-penetrating, low-hydrogen weld deposit that is tolerant to rust, mill scale and light oil, and it features a stable arc with long stick-outs to allow for easy gap filling. This gas-shielded flux-cored wire features low smoke and low spatter and operates with 100% CO2 shielding gas. It is designed for single- or multi-pass welding in the flat and horizontal position.

Applications: Earthmoving equipment, heavy fabrication, railroad cars, steel structures, storage vessels, mining machinery, plate fabrication, shipbuilding, and light- to heavy-gauge mild steel and low-alloy steel

Fabshield 21B (AWS E71T-11)Fabshield 21B is an all-position self-shielded flux-cored wire that is particularly well-suited for fillet and lap welds on thin-gauge mild or galvanized steel. It can also be used for single- or multi-pass welds up to 3/4" thick. Fabshield 21B wire offers all-position welding capabilities and produces a smooth, spray-like arc transfer that generates low spatter levels and creates an excellent weld bead appearance. Its easy-to-remove slag helps reduce downtime for cleanup.

Applications: General fabrication, light structurals, machinery part fabrication, prefab construction, railroad car repair, short assembly welds, and tanks

Fabshield XLr-8 (AWS E71T-8J H8)Fabshield XLR-8 self-shielded flux-cored wire is capable of depositing low-hydrogen, X-ray quality welds in all positions and is especially well-suited for producing vertical-up welds at high current levels. It provides a stable arc and excellent mechanical properties within a wide range of parameters, and is usable for AWS D1.8 Demand Critical welds. Fabshield XLR-8 also meets the D designation under AWS A5.20/A5.20M:2005 and is designed to be used with constant voltage (CV) power sources.

FabCor 86R gas-shielded metal-cored wire provides deposition rates in excess of 20 lbs/hr. with efficiencies of 95% or greater, and features a smooth and consistent spray transfer to minimize spatter. The wire has minimal slag coverage, features an easy-to-control arc and creates a low hydrogen weld deposit to reduce the risk of cracking. FabCor 86R can be used for single- or multi-pass welding in the flat and horizontal welding positions and uses 75%-95% Argon/balance CO2 shielding gas mixture.

Applications: Automated or robotic welding, earthmoving equipment, railroad cars, steel structures, storage vessels, short-assembly welds, and tanks

Quantum Arc 3 (AWS Er70S-3)Quantum Arc 3 is a copper-coated, mild steel solid wire with added deoxidizers and is well-suited for short circuiting and spray-transfer applications. The wire operates with 100% CO2 or 75% Argon/25% CO2 shielding gas mixtures and provides a clean weld deposit with few silicon islands, making it virtually ready to paint. It also feeds smoothly and consistently, allowing for repeatable weld parameters and making it excellent for use with longer weld cables.

Applications: Auto frames, general fabrication, farm equipment, ornamental iron fabrication, railcars, sheet metal, and storage bins

Quantum Arc 6 (AWS Er70S-6)Quantum Arc 6 solid wire includes deoxidizers that provide sound, porosity-free welds, even when welding on rusty, scaly, or oily plates, and helps minimize pre-cleaning. This copper-coated, mild steel wire operates with CO2 and Argon-rich shielding gases and provides an exceptionally stable and smooth arc, along with good wetting action. Its smooth feedability makes it especially suitable for high-duty-cycle applications and helps increase consumable life.

Hobart 335A (AWS E6011)The Hobart 335A stick electrode offers a fine spray transfer that makes it easily usable in all positions and is designed for use with AC power sources. This cellulose-based electrode provides stable arc characteristics and good penetration, as well as quick arc starting and a superior arc drive. Hobart 335A can weld through rusty or painted materials or those that cannot be completely pre-cleaned, while still providing excellent wet-in.

Applications: Galvanized steel work, general fabrication, railroad cars, shipbuilding and structural work

Hobart 418 (AWS E7018-1)The Hobart 418 stick electrode provides low-hydrogen, X-ray quality weld deposits with self-peeling slag, along with good out-of-position welding capabilities. This stick electrode offers excellent arc starts and re-starts, in addition to a smooth, virtually spatter-free arc and a weld puddle that washes into the sidewalls with no undercut. Hobart 418 is designated as a low moisture-absorbing product and can be exposed to higher temperatures and humidity for more than eight hours and still meet AWS requirements.
