The Cosulich family originated from Lussino, a small island off

the Dalmatian coast in the Adriatic Sea. It was with Capt. Antonio F. Cosulich that shipping activities

took a start in 1857, when the bark FIDES of 500 tons was built.

1857

The family expanded its fleet in the following years, purchasing also steamships and setting up in Trieste, the leading harbour of the

Austrian Empire.

1889

During the World War I, part of the fleet was lost and the shipyard was destroyed as well. Shortly after the war the Cosulich family restarted

the shipping activities with the trade name of Cosulich Line and

rebuilt the shipyard.

1918

The family then merged its activity with other partners establishing

a joint venture called Austro-Americana which started regular

passenger and freight services from Trieste to South and North America. A shipyard (today’s Fincantieri) was

also built near Trieste.

The operation of passenger vessels, plying between Genoa and North and South America,

Carribean, Australia, on behalf of Home Lines, Gdynia America Line and other owners has been carried

out successfully from 1947 for almost two decades.

As a consequence of the Italian Government policy enacted in that period, the Cosulich Line and the

shipyard were nationalized.

After World War II the Cosulich family restored the shipping business.

A new Company called Fratelli Cosulich (Cosulich Brothers) was established

with head office in Trieste and branch offices in Genoa, Naples, and Palermo.

Freight services run by its own and chartered vessels as well as husbanding

of independent liner companies to South America, Red Sea

and Mediterranean ports have been and are the prominent activities.

Several new buildings and purchased vessels entered

the service to North and South America again.

Forwarding

The Group is present in Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, U.K., Ireland, Turkey, China, and in the U.S., operating under different brands:

We offer total global general freight forwarding services, including cross trades ensuring your goods are handled safely through our network of global agencies.

Our work entails taking care of goods, coming into the country requiring Customs’ clearance and delivery to final global destination by one or more means of transport. We advise on regulation, documentation and licenses required for consignment. We advise our clients on the type of packaging they should use and if required make the packaging to suit the article to be transported.

Forwarding

In May 2018 Fratelli Cosulich S.p.A. established a joint-venture with Tecnoservice S.r.l.

Fratelli Cosulich S.p.A. has been providing agency and transportation services to international Companies active in the international steel products market, such as Metinvest, Duferco and NLMK.

This joint–venture will enable our group of companies to develop even more logistic, terminal and transportation activities for steel products, containers and project cargoes.

Tecnoservice S.r.l. is able to cover the full logistic chain, providing the clients with a complete service including port and Customs’ operations, products’ distribution through the different means of intermodal transport such as rail, fluvial and road.

Deposit, cargo warehousingand containers’repair

Ambro Terminal is specialized in the activity of container repair, deposit of empty containers, cleaning and cargo warehousing.

The depots are located in: Marghera (13.000 sqm), Piacenza (15.000 sqm), Ospitaletto (15.000 sqm), Verona (20.000 sqm for empty container activity and 25.000 sqm for warehouse and stuffing/unstuffing activity) and Valdaro (25.000 sqm for empty container activity and 6.000 sqm for warehouse activity).

Ospitaletto and Verona are important intermodal centres regularly connected to the port of Marghera. From/to Ospitaletto area, Ambro terminal handles 2 trains per week and from/to Verona 5 trains per week.

Marghera depot is strategically located a few km away from the main terminals of the port of Venice, i.e. Vecon and TIV.

All areas are fully equipped for maintenance and repair activity, with the highest technologies and software able to satisfy every kind of request from our customers (edi files, Codeco/Coparn, westim). All depots are weight station for VGM purposes, with video surveillance 24/7.

Inland transportation

Since 2011, Fratelli Cosulich S.p.A. is investing in the road transport sector through the establishment of Lorma Logistic. The company has undergone significant growth, reaching in a few years such a size as to make it one of the main container carriers in Northern Italy.

Lorma Logistic can offer truck and intermodal solutions for every type of container throughout Northern and Central Italy, also offering, through the 100% owned Ambro Terminal, a network of strategic terminals to make available to its customers the most efficient logistics possible.

The company, which actually owns 70 trailers and 50 trucks, has chosen to invest in green technologies able to reduce the environmental impact of road transport, choosing alternative and ecological fuels that will leadLorma to have 20% of the fleet powered by LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) by 2020.

Morgan S.r.l. can meet the needs of any kind of commercial or cruise ship in any port in the world. Its well established operating logistic platform in Navacchio area grants the coverage of Caribbean, Central Americas and European network of business partners based in Italy.

A wide range of fresh, frozen and dry provisions are available together with consumables, disposables, amenities, deck, engine, safety, publications to cater in full compliance with international food safety standards.

Morgan with its internal dedicated division takes care of the whole process: from buying at the best price to the most tailored service.

The Company was established by Sea Trend Holding S.r.l.(joint venture between Fratelli Cosulich S.p.A. and Maestrale S.r.l.) in 2017. Thanks to its previous experience in the shipping industry, 4Ship and Trade S.r.l. offers warehousing, logistics and forwarding services.

In 2018 the company acquired an important structure near the port of Livorno with cells for the storage of fresh, frozen and dry goods offering a full range of warehousing solutions including expedite fulfillment, deliveries, packing, reconditioning services, reverse logistics, freight forwarding and complete transportation solutions.

Fratelli Cosulich started selling bunker in 1969 at our Genova Headquarters.

Our brokers and traders cover the bunker requirements of our customers worldwide from the offices in New York, Genova, Singapore, Hong Kong, Hai Phong, Montecarlo and Dubai.

In 2005 the Group decided to start an operation as bunker physical supplier in the port of Singapore where we now deploy 5 bunker barges (4x6500 dwt an 1x4000 dwt) equipped with Mass Flow Meters and delivering roughly 200.000 metric tons per month. Annually the Group delivers nearly 6.5 million metric tons worldwide.

In addition to standard commercial bunkering, the Group has a strong presence in the yacht fuel business through its controlled entity Femo Bunker, focusing on fuel for luxury yachts and with offices in Genova, St. Maarteen, Dubai and Singapore.

Bunker-related activities represent a large part of the Group’s turnover. Seven bunker offices allow the Group an efficient global coverage.

Founded in 1997 by executives with a 20 year of background in the provision of services to large yachts, Catalano Shipping Services is dedicated to serve most of the in-port and on-shore requirements of owners and charachters of large yachts, as well as their Capitains and crew.

From 2 man operation on opening in Monaco, the company now employs 26 team members in its own offices in Monaco, Venice, Cannes, St Tropez, La Ciociat, Corsica, Singapore and through affiliates. The on-site presence at these locations ensures the control of the prime element that underpins our reputation, namely service quality and immediate availability in responding to customer needs.
