Key Take-AwaysUpcoming Front with Rain
Confidence is High that damaging winds and heavy snow will impact southern Oregon and
northern California.
This will be a VERY DANGEROUS wind storm – especially at the coast – but strong winds are
expected to impact all locations at times Tuesday morning through evening.
Much colder air arrives Tuesday night into Wednesday, and valley floors could see some snow
accumulations . However, the greater threat to lower elevations is for any water on roadways to
freeze and cause dangerous travel conditions.
Heavy snow and near blizzard conditions at times will make travel very difficult to impossible over
the mountains. Travel through southwest Oregon and northern California is strongly discouraged.
