What are the Lord’s desires for you?

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans for welfare and not calamity, to give you a future and hope” (Jeremiah 29:11-14)

Paul in Eph. 1:18 – “the hope of His calling”

We are stimulated to worship Him b/c of Who He is – awesome, gracious, God of 2nd chances!

Be Saved; Come to Knowledge of the Truth

He desires “all men to be saved” (1 Tim. 2:4-5)“not wishing for any to perish…” (2 Peter 3:9)

Warning: “But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons…” (1 Tim. 4:1). If this is His desire, then are you saved?Are you a pursuer of truth?* in your soul? Psalm 51:6 “in the innermost being?”* in relationships – Ephesians 4:15

He Predestined You To Be Conformed to His Image (Rom. 8:29)

• To be like Jesus in character – “holy!”

• To have the mind of Christ (1 Cor. 2:16)

• To reflect His compassion for the lost, those broken in life (Matt. 9:36)

“You are our letter, written in our hearts, known and read by all men…” (2 Cor. 3:2).

Bear Fruit! John 15:8,16

Vs. 8 – “Father is glorified…bear much fruit; prove to be My disciples…” Vs. 16 – “I chose you, and appointed you…”
