rural area in South Trinidad, where children

ranging rom ages eight to eighteen have ound the ormat quite

interesting. It is too early to measure the success, but the enthu-

siasm is there among the students who have had no training in

their mother tongue, and they are adapting to the teaching quiteeasily.

I frst came across only books 2 and 6 o the

six-bookSaivite Hindu Religion course. As Iwas then very busy, I thought I would read

a ew pages o each o the books at randomand that that would be enough or me to

assess the value o the course. I started read-

ing Book 2. I ound it so interesting that I read the whole o the

two books without missing one single page. I can now honestly

say that these books constitute a mine o loty teachings o pure

Hinduism. The lessons given in them impart a correct knowledge

o true Hinduism. I now guess that it was lessons o this sort,

widely spread, that made ancient India so much more spiritual

than is modern India. One way, and perhaps the best, o getting

rid o all the immoral living and violence which are plaguing the

world and making people miserable, would be, I am convinced,to propagate the teachings o these books. Then morality would

improve and virtue would fourish, making the world a much bet-

ter place to live in. These books should nd their place, not only

in all Hindu homes throughout the world, but even among other

religious communities.
