INTRODUCTION:

A flowchart is just a diagrammatic representation of a workflow or process, showing

the steps as boxes of various kinds, and their order by connecting them with arrows.

Following are the symbols which we are using as our sign convention in our

Flowchart: All flowcharts start and end with the terminator or terminal shape.

We haveused the following shape for this: To read a flowchart, we have to follow the arrows from shape to

shape: For decision making we have used the following shape: We are using rectangle for activities or action steps. These are

things thatmust be done: A circle containing a letter or number means that this chart

connects to another chart on a different page. The same circle and number are then the entry point on the new page:

PROBLEMS:1. STUDENT’S UNDERSTANDINGS AND MISUNDERSTANDINGS-ABOUT COLLEGE : Now–a-

days , One of the major problem which students has to face while taking admission in colleges is because of lack in preparation and misconception of knowledge regarding college curricular. While the majority of students aspire to attend college after high school, their knowledge of specific college preparation issues was sporadic and vague. Their lack of clear understanding makes good college preparation difficult.

2. LACK OF COLLEGE COUNSELLING FOR ALL STUDENTS: Counsellors face a range of responsibilities that compete for their time, including test administration , course scheduling, providing mental health or other counselling services, addressing disciplinary issues, and supporting students with special needs. This leaves many students with few available people who are familiar with college transition issues.

3. INEQUITABLE COLLEGE PREPARATORY OPPORTUNITIES FOR ALL STUDENTS : Students in high-level courses often receive the information from a variety of sources, including the challenging content of their courses, university recruitment efforts, their parents, counselors, other students, and teachers who are knowledgeable about college-level standards. But many students in middle and lower level high school courses are not reached by higher education outreach efforts, or by college counselling staff in their high schools. Many economically disadvantaged parents often lack experience and information concerning college preparation for their children.

LESSONS:

Flowcharts are helpful in understanding a complicated process. This is especially true if you have to make decisions and do different steps depending on those

decisions. By looking at a flowchart you can visually follow different paths through

the chart. For each step on a flowchart you can ask yourself "Is this step necessary?

Can it be improved?“.As a student, flowchart is very important for us. We really appreciate the personwho have decided this as the part of the competition. We have learned so manythings by the time of making the flowchart, first of all ,we learned how to make

flo--wcharts .Usually people don’t care what are the flaws in the existing system, soby making flowchart we analyzed the process and we think that if this

flowchart ispublished and considered by the colleges then students must feel relieved.
