• Nuevas Fronteras is implementing standards-based instruction and is creating a plan for more purposeful language arts instruction in Spanish and English which is articulated K-5.
• All grade levels are implementing the new American Reading Company (ARC) reading curriculum and use ENIL (Independent Reading Level Assessment in Spanish) and IRLA (Independent Reading Level Assessment in English) metrics to monitor students' growth and needs.
• Grades K-2 are implementing Bridges Math Curriculum.
Academic Goals
• A focus on Immersion Education Best Practices• All teachers in the K-12 Pathway read Dual Language Instruction

Academic Goals: Immersion
• Nuevas Fronteras created a climate of voice and choice so that all students feel welcome and cared for in their school.
• We surveyed students 3 times this year with a focus on school climate.
• Themed assemblies run by our newly formed student congress:

• We are UNIQUE
• We are THANKFUL (building recognition)
• We are FRIENDS (Reading celebration)
• We have FUN
Climate and Culture
