CROSS COUNTRY RACE Well done to all our runners who took part in the first race last Saturday. They all did very well as
did their parents who stoically supported in the rainy weather!
HARVEST FESTIVAL This year we will be having a special Harvest Celebration Service at the OCH on Thursday 24th
October. Parents, families and friends are warmly invited to join us at 9am. Children should bring tinned or dry, non-
perishable food donations on the day. Donations will be sent to a local food bank. We will be having Celebration Awards
at the end of the service, so if you have anything you would like to be included for your child please bring it to the office by
Wednesday 23rd.
SWIMMING Children will be having a water safety session this week and will need to bring a t-shirt and pair of shorts to wear
over their swimming costumes.
FOREST SCHOOL CLOTHES - SECOND REMINDER Please make sure that KS1 children have a full set of clothes for Forest
School, not just waterproofs and wellies. They need to have long trousers or leggings and warm long sleeved top layers to
wear underneath waterproofs (not school uniform). Forest School takes place whatever the weather so it may be cold or wet.
FOHS Do come along to Wotton Town Hall on Sunday 20th when FOHS will be serving Town Hall Teas. Thanks to all the
FOHS volunteers for their hard work organising this.
AIR RAID SIREN As part of their topic work on WW2 KS2 will have an air raid siren in school on Monday 21st. The siren
will be sounded at around 1.30pm so please don’t be alarmed if you hear it! It will be loud, but will only last for a short
while. Letters are being sent to our neighbours to forewarn them, but do let others in the village know please.
REMINDER - YEAR 6 PARENTS - SECONDARY TRANSFER The closing date for applications for secondary school places is
31st October. Applications should be made via the school admissions portals on the council websites for the county in
which you reside.
FLU IMMUNISATION Reminder - this will take place in school on Monday 4th November. There is an information poster
about what happens on the day in your wallet.
COATS Please make sure your child has a warm, waterproof coat with them everyday.
Please remember to return your wallet by Friday morning latest each week.
