Region Skåne manages 20 orest and recreation areas, where you can fsh, canoe, swim and enjoy the beautiul countryside. Seven o these areas provide access or wheelchair users. The newly-opened Fulltota Nature Reserve in the heart o Skåne is a hub or these recreation areas. This is a modern experience centre where you can learn about the countryside and the impact we have on it. Wander, listen and experience! There are secrets everywhere, which can only be elt by a touch o the hand, seen i you look and heard i you listen out. The exhibition area has expert- written actsheets or those who want to fnd out more, as well as flms about Skåne’s recreation areas. There is also a caé oering snacks and light hot meals. When it gets chilly outside, a warming fre will be burning. Outside, many paths lead straight out into the Skåne countryside. The project is run by the Foundation or Recreational Areas in Skåne and Region Skåne. The trail consists o around 1,000 kilometres o hiking paths. The trail is divided into six sections, each with its own map. Every section is divided into stages o varying length. Each stage has campsites with shelters, a freplace, frewood, dry toilets and, in most cases, water. I no water is available at the campsite, it can be ound along the trail. The trail is marked with orange rings around trees and posts. Where the trail changes direction, signs show which way to go. Hiking along the trail does not require expensive equipment. Wear sturdy shoes or boots and bring a set o waterproos in case the weather turns bad. Welcome to Skåne’s recreation areas and the Skåneleden Trail! We recommend taking a picnic and a hot drink. Maps or the trail are revised and reprinted every ew years. The Coast-to-Coast Trail (Kust till Kustleden), 367 km The Coast-to-Coast Trail is the oldest o the trails. It runs rom Sölvesborg in the east to the Bjäre Peninsula in the west. The trail passes through the deep Göinge orests, across traditional areas o small-scale arming and open agricultural countryside, and past views o the sea. The trail is covered by two maps: Kust till Kust Öst (east) and Kust till Kust Väst (west). The Ridge-to-Ridge Trail, 140 km As the name suggests, the Ridge-to-Ridge Trail (Ås till Åsleden) takes you rom the Söderåsen Ridge to the Linderödsåsen Ridge, or the other way round. At Söderåsen, the trail takes you through the wild Söderåsen National Park, onwards through the heritage areas o central Skåne and east to the Österlenleden Trail. A map o the trail is available. The North-to-South Trail, 331 km The North-to-South Trail (Nord till Sydleden) runs rom the Vittsjö area in northern Skåne down to Ystad, Malmö or Trelleborg. The trail takes walkers on a journey through the deep Göinge orests in the north, across the open plains and fnally to the sea in the south. The trail is covered by two maps: Nord till Syd Nord (north) and Nord till Syd Syd (south). The Österlenleden Trail, 165 km The Österlenleden Trail is a circular trail which you can  join in places such as Ystad. The trail takes you through cultivated areas, past manors and castles, along idyllic wa- terways and through the wonderul landscape o Österlen, where you walk right alongside the sea.
