International student, Wayne Lou, was baptized by one of our faculty members, Pastor Jon Imme, last Decem-
ber.
After participating in religion classes, weekly chapels,
and obtaining permission from his parents in China, Wayne decided to affirm his new-found relationship with God by becoming baptized during a school worship service.
Please continue to pray for all of our students -especially those who are “un-churched” - that our
faculty and staff, through God’s help and inspiration, can continue to live out our mission by guiding our students and their families to a deeper relationship with the Lord.
Your help, through funding scholarships for those who would not otherwise experience a Christ-centered education, are also much needed and greatly
appreciated.

Consider a Scholarship In Honor of a Loved-One
You have the power to change the future.
Unfortunately, the effects of the recent recession are still
impacting the lives of our students and their families. Many have indicated that, without financial assistance, they will not be able to return to or join our schools in the fall. We currently offer several discounts, including
ones for pastors and families with more than 1 student.
However, with $125K in scholarship funding, 49 chil-
dren will have the opportunity to have their lives and futures spiritually and academically impacted through a
Christ-centered education.
Whether through a one-time gift, an ongoing fund in
your name, in the name of your church or a loved-one, through a charitable gift annuity, or any other form of support - the school will be able to con-tinue serving these students and will avoid a negative revenue impact of nearly $300K. YOU can make a difference in the life of a student and their family!

Mr. Brommer to be Honored Gerry Brommer, Lutheran High art teacher from 1954 to 1975, will be honored at Concordia Univer-sity Irvine’s Gala of Stars on May 15th.
Since leaving Lutheran High, Gerry has written 23 books for art education and continues to teach 20 or

Lanakilas Class of 1965 The 50th Reunion will be held on November 8-10, 2015, in Napa Valley, California, at the Napa Valley Marriott. Old friends gathering in a beautiful setting makes for
“Golden Memories”. Your reunion organizer is Diane Green DeFilipi.
She can be reached at (707)966-9220 or [email protected].
Class of 1974 Imago Dei had a very successful reunion this past September in Pasadena. Theresa Morales
was a first time reunion organizer and was joined by a supportive team of classmates. The team worked hard to find missing classmates and a number of the teachers. Rick Reaser
gathered five albums of music performances from old recordings and created a CD.
Happy 90th Birthday ….to Al Roth, principal of Mission Hills campus. Mr. Roth enjoyed a special
90th birthday celebration this month at his church in Oregon.
Heavenly Reunion Doug Peterson’69 and Craig Peterson’72 notified the school of their mother, Jean Peterson’s,
passing on March 13th. Mrs. Peterson was the financial secretary from 1963 to 1980, a true servant to the ministry. She is survived by her sons and two grandchildren.
Please notify the schools’ office of any class gatherings or reunions We will help share the news! Contact Peggy Courtney at 818-362-5861.
Help Us Be Good Stewards of Our Earth’s Resources Electricity costs are extremely high at our Jr./Sr. HS – and are climbing. You can help us cut costs and return the money back to educational purposes.
Through a special LED lighting retrofit program through the LADWP (including a significant rebate), the school will have the ability to cut average monthly costs by approx. $2,000! Here are the details:
The cost to the school for the upgrade is ~$60,000 and can be funded
through an LCEF “SMART Loan” – with 0% interest the 1st year
We’d love to not pay ANY interest on the loan by raising enough funds so we can pay off
the full amount of the loan during the first year
With 300 people - who have a heart for Christian education or environmental sustain-
ability - donating $200, we would be able to pay off the loan, interest-free (but every gift,
of any size, helps!)
Immediate net-positive cash flow, responsible energy use, and increased property values, add up to a win-win-win for our students, the community, and the environment! Please contact Lauren Godfrey for more information or if you’d like to help.
