Shoparoo Shoparoo is a downloadable application for your smart phone that allows you to build up credits for Mooseheart School, just by sending in photos of receipts. Similar to the old days of saving soda can tabs, etc. Most stores and receipts are eligible. I even submitted airfare receipts and hotel room receipts. On your smart phone, thru the internet browser, go to www.shoparoo.com. Follow directions on the phone. When you get a receipt, whether it is charge or cash, take a photo and submit it. You will be notified that it has been accepted. If you make a mistake or photo is not clear, don’t worry. The app allows you to correct it. Clothing Drive A Success! Finally - a beautiful day (55º) and another successful clothing collection was held on March 7 at Langhauser Sheet Metal (special thanks to Brian and Karen for all their hospitality, food and beverages). We collected 5 tons of clothing (some delivered earlier) which were donated to St. Paul CYO which helps fund space camp students. Special thanks to Kevin Kapp and Ed and Millie’s for donating the chili - it was excellent! Thanks to Highland Tru Buy and Korte Meat Processing for flyers and meat prizes; Highland Pistol and Rifle Club for clay birds and hospitality; and Highland Rural King for still targets and shotgun shells. 50/50 winners were Paul Isaak, Sonny Koch, Molly Glanzner, Sherry Donnelly and Dave Koerkenmeier.

Moose Member News

Dear Lenny,

Congratulations on being Sewer Equipment’s Impact (High Cotton) Award winner and also for your contribution to Coe Equipment’s inclusion in our Million Dollar Sales Club for 2014. The Impact Award recognizes the salesperson that makes the most of the resources that they have, and you have proven to excel in this area. Many salesmen have success with the largest customer in their region, and they call themselves elephant hunters. Others cover the far reaches of their territory, catering to small customers that no other salesmen know about. You are one of the few that does both proficiently, and your success year after year proves it. And best of all, you do it with the utmost integrity and a smile on your face. On behalf of Sewer Equipment, I thank you for making our name a respected one in your region, and I look forward to more awards for you in 2015.

Sincerely,Tom HochmuthWestern Region Sales ManagerSewer Equipment Company of America

Highland soldier ‘coined’ by Secretary of Defense and

dines with Sergeant Major of the Army Spc. Matthew Rinderer, a 2012 graduate of Highland High School and member of Company C, 1st Battalion in the 16th Infantry Regiment, returned to Fort Riley, Kan., on Feb. 24 from a deployment to the Middle East. His tour included time in Kuwait and more than six months in Baghdad, Iraq. While in Baghdad, Rinderer was “coined” by former Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel, as well as former Sgt. Major of the Army Raymond Chandler. Rinderer was honored for special achievements and recognition of his service in Baghdad, as well as his unit’s success and high moral. Also while in Baghdad, he was selected to dine with Chandler as he made his last visit to Iraq before retiring from the position as the 14th sergeant major of the Army, the senior most enlisted service member in the U.S. Army. In that position, Chandler also served as the personal adviser to the chief of staff of Army. Matthew is the son of Moose Brother Boyd Rinderer and the brother of Moose Brother Marshall Rinderer. Moose Brother Russell Gall battled and caught a tuna in Cabo for four hours and 28 minutes. Russell said it was the most mentally and physically challenging thing he’s ever done (remember this young man played rugby). He and his friends won that day’s first cash prize of $32,600 congratulations!
