WHAT IS INFORMTION LITERACY
“ Information Literacy is knowing when and why you need information, where to find it, and how to evaluate, use and communicate it in an ethical manner” (CILIP, 2004)

THE FRAMEWORK
The purpose is to outline skills to be developed at each level of higher education, with indicative learning outcomes.
It is a tool to help course teams develop IL outcomes, of relevance to their course requirements.

THE INSTITUTIONAL CONTEXT
