Pick up at the hotel at 10:00 am and drive to Pompeii. Visit of the excavations where the tour guide will show the most fascinating places like The Forum, Ther-mal Baths, Vetti’s house and “Lupanare” burnt by volcanic ashes and lapilli dur-ing the eruption in 79 A.D. Lunch including pizza and drink. Transfer to Torre del Greco passing through Vesuvius National Park until 1.000 mt. From the parking place slope to the top of the only still active volcano of continental Europe. Walk around the crater at 1.200 mt to see the charming bay of Naples from eastern to western side. Return to Naples and drop off at the hotel at around 5:00 pm.

Herculaneum was a residential coastal town which has been superbly preserved due to the fact that it was covered in volcanic mud during the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD. The guide will give people the chance to view the town from above be-fore heading down and beginning the guided tour which lasts about an hour. The buildings have been so well preserved that you can walk down the streets pretty much exactly as the Romans would have done over 2000 years ago! There are still original timbers showing in the buildings and clay pots stored as they would have been at the time of the eruption. The coach departs for Mount Vesuvius. On the way up there is a stop for lunch. The coach takes the guests to mt. 1000 and if the clients wish, they walk the rest themselves. The guests purchase their entrance tickets. There is a man at the foot of the volcano who provides walking sticks which customers can hire for a small charge to help them walk up to the crater.Upon reaching the crater, a local guide will walk them around the crater and give them an explanation (we cannot guarantee that the guide service will always be available). Customers then have free time to walk around. Customers meet the bus at the car park and then make the journey back to Sorrento. Return to resort approx. 4:00/5:00 pm.

Herculaneum was a res-idential town without Pompeii’s commercial importance, surrounded by the villas of the wealthy Romans. When the catastrophe of 79 AD occurred Herculaneum was submerged under a torrent of mud and lava that hardened into a soft tufa (a kind of course rock) that preserved many of the timber features and household objects which can be seen today. A large portion of the old Herculaneum is still buried under the modern town and even today excavations are going on to discov-er what treasures lie buried under the rock, to the extent that some families are being rehoused so work can continue.

Departing from Sorrento, enjoy panoramic views of Naples from Mergellina to understand why it is known as the ‘City of 1,000 Colours’.Try the traditional sfogliatella pastry followed by a well-deserved Espresso or Cap-puccino.Walk past the Royal Palace of Naples, where the great Bourbon Kings once resid-ed. Continue on to San Francesco di Paola, a beautiful church located at the Pi-azza del Plebiscito, Naples’ main city square. Stroll through the beautiful Gallery of Umberto I, a public shopping gallery opposite the San Carlo opera house, the oldest opera house in Italy.After, you will walk around the old and lively street market of Pignasecca, full of flavors and calls from the stall holders and through the well-known ‘Spaccanapo-li’, where you will reach the historic center.It will be a unique chance for you to walk on by churches and palaces of the histor-ic centre, taste the ‘Cuoppo di frittura (a “cone” of traditional fried finger foods).Go to the Forcella district, and discover the artisans of San Gregorio Armeno and their nativity handicrafts.

Departing from Sorrento in the morning. The coach joins the Amalfi coastal road which is one of the most stunning coastal drives in Europe. The scenery is superb, looking out over the Mediterranean and along the coastline as the road twists and turns its way towards the town of Positano (approx. 20 minutes from Sorrento). The town is built on different levels from the main road all the way down to sea level, giving the image of a waterfall of buildings cascading down to the sea. As the coach can’t stop here guest can enjoy the views and take photos from the bus.This spectacular journey continues with fabulous views all the way to Amalfi (approximately 1 hour). Arrive in Amalfi around 10:00 am depending on traffic. Guests have 2 hours free time in Amalfi where a guided boat trip along the coast may be possible dependant on availability and weather conditions. Customers can also visit the magnificent 9th century Cathedral which proudly dominates the main square of Amalfi, wander through the narrow streets of the town and browse the many shops or enjoy a coffee in one of the cafes around Amalfi.after lunch stop, the excursion carries on to Ravello which is situated on the hill-side above Amalfi. This is where Wagner was inspired to write part of one of his operas and it is from here that you can enjoy the best views of the Amalfi coastline looking over to Minori, Maiori and beyond. Pick-up from Sorrento and transfer by semi-private minibus to Pompeii. At the arrival, enjoy a 2 hours visit to Pompeii excavation site together with your official guide. Due to its burial under a layer of ashes and lapilli, the town got forgotten for hundreds of years since its excavations in the 18th Century. After the visit, free time for lunch (not included). In the early afternoon, the visit will continue to Mt. Vesuvius.

The bus will ride us up to 1000 meters high, from that point, we will continue with a 30 minutes walk. Once on the rim, you’ll meet an alpine guide that will give you information about the history of the crater; free time to enjoy the breath-taking view of the entire Gulf of Naples. Return to Sorrento during the afternoon.

A Professional guide will show you the city’s hidden treasures that lie in the most secret corners of the famous squares and the “noisy” narrow streets of the historical center.Departing from your Sorrento hotel, the tour will lead you to the historical center, reaching Piazza del Gesu where you will have the chance to admire two of the most important Naples churches: the Baroque Gesu Nuovo and Romantic Santa Chiara.Visit the Cappella San Severo, the Veiled Christ, and the Basilica of San Lorenzo Maggiore before continuing on a walking tour of San Gregorio Armeno and Na-ples Christmas Alley.Stop for lunch and eat a delicious pizza in a typical Italian restaurant. In the af-ternoon stroll around the monumental square of Piazza del Plebiscito where you will have some free time at your disposal to admire the Royal Palace, San Carlo Opera, the Umberto I gallery, Via Toledo, Piazza Trento, and Piazza Trieste.Enjoy a typical Neapolitan cake and coffee in the famous Bar Gambrinus before departing from Naples and making your way back to Sorrento.

If you request a particular htl that it is not available, we will confirm a similar option (to the requested one). In case of cancellation, we will send an e-mail/fax as confirmation of the cancellation. If you do not receive this confirmation it would means that for us the booking is still operative. So if our provider charges us no show penalites, we will charge you the same penalties. We inform all clients that rates do not includes the city tax in Florence, Rome, Venice. This tax will be paid directly form clients at the reception hotel desk at the arrival or at the check out according to the local city board procedure. We remind you that tax will change according to hotel category. Please kindly inform travellers before departure. All services must be paid before the participants arrival (at least 7 days before, maximum 15 days, depending on the service).
