at works of art in the galleries with behind-the-scenes access

to the Education Studio, where students will create a related

art project.

Photographer Gordon Parks: The Power of the Picture

Learn about pioneering African American photographer

Gordon Parks and how he made his name representing

social injustices: racism, poverty, and economic inequality.

Create a work of art related to social justice issues, inspired

by current or historical events.

Workshops take place in December 2018 and January –

February 2019. Register online at nga.gov/highschool.
